We came for a birthday celybefore going to see Orchestra Noir and enjoy a great meal. Lee our server was great and made sure we had all we needed. I did not see on the open table that no t-shirts were not allowed in main dinning room so I will be prepared next time!!

Dined in for two; was sat next to a party of 30+ who were extremely loud. Looked like we were overdressed for a “fine dining” establishment. Ordered a steak it was pretty much medium well on the outside raw in the inside. Other than that the service was amazing. Server was great. Drinks were good. Was hoping for more of an intimate setting but appeared to be sat next to a family reunion.

If you’re looking for the best prime rib in Northern Virginia, look no further than 1799 Prime Steak and Seafood. From start to finish, our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. We started with the shrimp bisque, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Next, we enjoyed the kale Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp, and well-dressed—a fantastic lead-in to the main course. The highlight of the meal was the 1799 specialty prime rib, cooked to a perfect medium-rare. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor, it was served with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, both of which complemented the dish beautifully. To finish, we indulged in their bread pudding, which was warm, rich, and the perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal. Beyond the outstanding food, the service was attentive and top-notch, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. 1799 Prime Steak and Seafood is truly a standout in the Northern Virginia dining scene, and we can’t wait to return!

I have previously had great experiences at this restaurant but last nite was a bit disappointing. Our waiter was very inept and when my steak came out wrong( different cut and over cooked), he was rude and tried to tell me why I was brought the wrong steak (not his fault)! He never offered to replace it and when he brought the check, he said the steak that I sent back had been “discounted” not taken off. Perhaps he had a language issue but if that is the case, management may want to ensure that waiters understand English.
