For over twenty-five years, Lovin' Oven Celebrations, Long Island's & Manhattan's premiere caterer, has built their reputation on superb cuisine, elegant locations and refined staff. Their newest venture, the elegant 21 Main Steakhouse, encompasses all these things. Set in the Plantation House at North Beach Plantation in North Myrtle Beach. Gerard Scollan and his brother Matthew have captured the glamor and service of an era gone by - with a modern twist. This restaurant was recommended as an upscale steak house for our visit to Myrtle Beach by a friend who frequents the area. The decor is modern with a fun water feature behind the host stand. Our waiter had a sense of humor and was convivial with knowledgeable answers to our questions. Though we are observing “Dry January”, I was pleased to see one of my favorite French wines (Chateau Greysac Medoc) offered by the glass. Overall the food was not impressive. The best part of the meal was the sushi course; the nigiri and spicy tuna rolls were beautifully plated aside wasabi piped into a lovely flower. The sushi was fresh, tender with just a hint of umami. I was disappointed that the restaurant didn’t have fresh anchovies to top the Caesar salad and the stacked lettuce leaves formed a bowl for the dressing leaving layers of dry, undressed greens. The wedge was served with Thousand Island dressing, a deviation from the standard blue cheese, an interesting but failed experiment. The New York strip was difficult to cut and had a metallic taste. The lobster tail was overdone and chewy, and the pasta was flavorless. The chocolate torte paired well with coffee.

Took my wife for her birthday. It was awesome!! Food service and atmosphere was what I had expected. This was our first time here. We live in Va and were down for little after Christmas vacation

The food is absolutely outstanding! The service was impeccable! I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. It is pricey, but for great food , so worth it.

Overall a great dinner with friends. Oysters Rockefeller were awesome. Scallops for dinner great, but for the price 4 medium size scallops seemed overpriced. Sushi was really good. Freinds had Filet. Loved it. Service was attentive but constantly interrupted our conversation.

Pricey but very good food. Nice modern decor but loud. Nothing absorbs the sound so had a hard time hearing conversation across the table. Service was excellent.

When we made the reservation through you we were not told it would be a preset menu at $150 per person. If we had known that we would never had gone there as our wives don't eat that much. Because we were already there and it being New Year's Eve there wouldn't be anywhere we could go we stayed which turned out to be a very bad decision. The service was horrible as it took s over two hours to complete this 4 course disaster. The waitress was non attentive and the food was horrible. Cold chewy shrimp followed by a moderately decent salad with the main course being once again cold pool cut of meat. We took the deserts home as we wanted yo get put of there. We spent over $800 for one of the worst dinners we have ever had and a nightmare of a New Years.
