Overhyped and Underwhelming. Very rude welcome from a very ignorant host. With the arrogant I can’t be assed with you attitude. WHO allocated myself and my partner to another member of the team. After I explained we had called to advise we were running 10 minutes behind schedule.
After reading countless glowing reviews across Google, TripAdvisor, and OpenTable, we were genuinely excited to try this restaurant. With a five-star reputation and high expectations, we were ready for an unforgettable dining experience. Unfortunately, the reality did not match the hype.
Let’s start with the positives—the ambience was lovely, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. From the moment we walked in, we felt well taken care of, and the service throughout the evening was excellent. However, a restaurant’s true measure is its food, and this is where things fell apart.
The pizza, which was meant to be a standout, was a huge letdown. The dough itself was well-made, light, and had a good texture, but the toppings and overall execution just didn’t come together. The flavors were uninspired, the balance was off, and there was no real depth to the dish. It lacked the satisfaction and indulgence we expected, especially given the restaurant’s stellar reputation. We couldn’t help but feel that we could have gone to a simple pizza shop and had a far more enjoyable meal—at a fraction of the price.
By the end of the meal, we begrudgingly paid the bill, not because it was unreasonable, but because it simply didn’t feel worth it. While we appreciate the effort put into the service and atmosphere, the food was the one thing that should have shone the brightest—and it simply didn’t.
Would we recommend it? Sadly, no. Despite the five-star ratings, we left disappointed, and we wouldn’t feel confident sending friends or family here. If the kitchen can refine its approach and elevate the flavors, perhaps it could live up to the hype—but as it stands, it just doesn’t deliver.
