Overall: Good
Food: Very Good
The food was great! The entrecôte was definitely the star of the meal. The butterfish taquitos had a really nice balance of flavors and textures, and the Japanese mushrooms were surprisingly delicious—full of flavor and great texture. The sushi was fresh, but nothing mind-blowing.
Service: Good
Our waiter was super nice and took great care of us, and I also noticed that the other staff seemed friendly and welcoming. However, the person at the door (tall guy with rings and tattoos) really threw me off. He had a negative, almost dismissive attitude that made us feel like we were inconveniencing him just by walking in. I get that the restaurant has a bit of a pretentious vibe, but that shouldn’t extend to the staff. First impressions matter, and a more welcoming host would make a big difference.
Ambiance: Very Good
Loved the ambiance and decor! The open kitchen is a great touch—it’s cool to watch the chefs work so precisely, and everything looked super clean and well-organized. Also, props to the ventilation system—even with the kitchen in the middle of the space, there were no strong food smells or smoke. One small downside: the bathroom could have been cleaner.
Value: Good
This is the kind of place where you’re paying more for the experience and reputation than just the food. Don’t get me wrong—the ingredients are fresh, and the chefs clearly know their stuff—but for the price, I expected a bit more. It’s good, but it definitely feels a little overpriced.
