For over 40 years, the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant has been San Diego's landmark dining destination and is undoubtedly one of the most unique and memorable restaurants you will ever find. Located inside a replica of a World War I French farmhouse decorated with fascinating military memorabilia, antiques, and aviation relics, the restaurant overlooks Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport, and has a cozy and romantic ambiance, with large stone fireplaces, intimate booths, and beautiful views. The extensive menu features mid-western aged beef and the freshest seafood. Here you will find USDA Choice Prime Beef steaks, slow-roasted Angus prime rib, fresh fish, salad entrées, seafood, chicken, pasta dishes, and fabulous desserts.     I made a reservation for my boyfriend’s birthday and when we arrived to the restaurant, they told us we were sitting at separate tables. Since we had a large party, gratuity was added when we paid, which was totally fine, but the service was not good. The party was now split up, half our table didn’t get their drinks, we had to remind our waitress multiple times about them, had to bus our own dishes and then were not told till the end that some of our beverages weren’t included. Just thought for the price we were paying and celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday, wished the experience would have been better.

    Food was not presented well in a very crowded area the seating to size of the buffet section was horrible. The food was mediocre at best. The crab legs were overcooked and mushy. The prime rib and steak was dry. The service staff were busy but still the size of the restaurant to the size of the buffet section was not adequate.

    Wow… where do I begin? It was probably the worst experience I had in a long time. My girlfriend and I went to the 94th Aero squadron for the Valentine’s Day. We pre-paid over $300 for Valentine’s Day dinner for 3. It took an hour and a half to get our appetizers. I had to ask our waitress for bread. And it took over 2 hours for our main course to get to the table. When I finally got my steak, it was barely warm. I heard two other couples complaining about long wait for food. One couple had enough and asked a manager for a refund. The female manager said there is no refund and walked away. Terrible experience. I won’t be back.

    The absolute worst dining experience that I've ever had. We were forced to prepay for our meal, and it became abundantly clear why. The wait staff did not even take our drink order for 45 minutes. And then an hour later our old Caesar salad and bread arrived. 45 minutes after that we were asking about our meal and the wait stop was very rude telling us we could just speak to the manager. Upon locating the manager, there are six other couples requesting their money back. I began to do the same. The manager was very rude and declined to give any refunds to anybody to the point that the police were getting called. This restaurant looks nice and photos, but there are hundreds of better places to eat around the area. Absolutely seek elsewhere.

    Worst place to have Valentine's Day dinner. It was $215 dollars per couple to enter. The squadron venue was amazing. Service was terrible. Took us 1 hour to receive our appetizer. The food was sub par. I ordered a medium rare steak and it came 2 hours later extremely bloody. I heard yelling across the room about frustrated customers. It felt like everyone quit working and only a few employees stayed to work. I would come back... Maybe it was just a bad day for the restaurant. They were not ready for the Valentine's Day rush.

    On Valentine’s Day, we make a reservation for 2. When we first walked in they charged us $200 for valentines menu first, before lead us to our table or order anything . Last year menu was $125. That’s is $75 increase , that’s crazy. We got to our table, wait 1hr for just 1 appetizer, then wait another 30 mins for the 2 entrees. They messed up our order so we have to wait more. After we finish our entrees we wait another 30 mins for just the desert. We end up spending 3hrs at the restaurant, we eat only 30mins 2.5hrs are wait time. We wanted to leave in the middle while waiting so long but they made us pay already so we have to wait hopeless the food would come soon. Such a scam. The food were so so. The food service was super super slow. The restaurant was not even that full. Waste so much time. It ruined our valentines time. Expensive, slow, ridiculous restaurant. Never ever coming back again. We definitely told our friends and families to avoid this restaurant. Scammer.

    Valentine's dinner... canceled other reservations to try dinner here and a big mistake. Had to select from the Valentine's menu, which appeared fine. Food was going to wrong tables, one steak came out cold, other was supposed to be medium rare but came out well done and the desert was a creme brulee for two people to share but was in a 3 inch aluminum baking tin. Overpriced and underwhelmed, to say the least. Only bright spots were our waitress and bartender that personally catered to us.
