The restaurant features wood oven-fired Neapolitan Pizza and other specialties of Campania.

Take out and Delivery available at A16pizza.com from 5:00pm-9:00pm.

Closed on Mondays.

    Located in Rockridge. A16 is offering offsite catering and private events at this time.A16 restaurant is named for the highway connecting Campania to Puglia and the menu is rooted in the rustic traditions of these lively southern Italian regions. The bar features traditional and modern cocktails and a wide selection of amaro. The A16 Pizza Truck is a restored 1959 Jeep Willys FC170 with our wood burning oven mounted on the back. This little truck can produce wood fired pizza for events ranging in size from intimate house parties to major music festivals. We can also prepare a variety of antipasti, salumi, salads, roasted meats, cocktails, and wines from our award winning list. Just let us know what you’d like, and we love to drive over and make it all happen!

    This is a chic, elevated space with creative cuisine. The cocktails are fun and unique, and our server Carlo was very helpful in making suggestions. It was packed on a Monday night, which we were happy to see. Only downside to that was it took a long time for our cocktails to arrive, but we understood. I had requested a corner table, and we were given the perfect corner so we could enjoy our conversations. A16 ALWAYS comes through. It’s a gem!

    Beautiful holiday atmosphere with fresh greens and garlands, branches and little white lights. Burata with pistachios was excellent and we added the prosciutto. Calamari with fried Gigante beans and salsa Verde excellent. We got the Capricciosa pizza and added arugula and Calabrian chili oil plus anchovies for Robert. We opted to sit at the pizza counter and watch the action which was fascinating. A real well run machine. Great service. A neighborhood gem.

    Water was sipping through the floor as we entered and you could smell it. The pizza was awful. Way too much cheese on it prevent it to cook properly so it was too soft and chewy. The pasta was also too creamy. Again too much cheese in it.

    The feast of the seven fishes is the best around. Service is amazing - food is beautiful - expensive but worth it!

    Went for Christmas Eve Feast of the Seven Fishes and did the full wine pairing— a splurge after a busy & draining day/week/year. The space was welcoming and festive, the wine pairings were interesting and thoughtful and the hospitality and service were impeccable from the moment we walked in to the moment we left hours later. Mistakes happen - especially on a busy holiday shift - but any minor hiccups were swiftly addressed. We felt treated like royalty but then also like old friends by the end of the meal.

    We were seated in the back room with 2 large parties. The noise and echo made it difficult to carry on a conversation. Mushroom pasta had zero seasoning. Server brought 3 clean plates instead of 4 for 2nd course. Didn’t bring condiments that go with the pizza until requested. Server was sweating. Overall this was my worst experience here. It is typically one of my favorite restaurants.

    Expected a lot more. Food was decent but not extraordinary. Host and maitre d not particularly great. We were there for our anniversary and noted it on the reservation as well as being celiac. Apparently nobody paid any attention to either thing. We were given a table stick between two others already there even though the restaurant was quite empty (it filled up within an hour but it was not quiet at any point). Server was good and attentive once notified about celiac. Food was pretty disappointing and needed salt so badly that I eventually caved and asked for some.

    Truffle has no taste, seemed like it was dried out Squash was flavorless Pasta was a little chewy Apps and cocktails were good Not a great food experience, but the ambiance and drinks are lovely
