Takeout or Delivery available at a16pizza.com from noon to 9 pm.

Please note - standard tables are located in our main dining room and covered atrium room. High top tables are in our intimate, cozy wine bar towards the front of the restaurant. You can reserve the chef's counter as well. Walk-in reservations welcome.

A16 is a Michelin rated and James Beard Award Winning restaurant bringing the delicious and hospitable traditions of lively Campania to San Francisco. The chic, rustic/modernist venue is named after the motorway that transverses the South of Italy. Executive Chef Yosuke Machida carefully selects local, organic produce and meats to prepare a daily menu specializing in wood oven-fired Neapolitan pizza, braised meatballs, vibrant salads, pasta and local meats and seafood dishes. Owner Shelley Lindgren works closely with a well-versed, hospitable service team to bring one of the SF Bay Area's celebrated wine and food destinations.

    We have loved this restaurant for years and have celebrated many special occasions and holidays here. Servers are amazing -- friendly, fast, accommodating and charming. Food is always outstanding and we love the special menus: Feast of the Seven Fishes, Easter, New Year's Eve, pairings with wines from visiting winemakers, etc.

    We reserved for outdoor seating which we thought would mean in the parklet. We ended up at a table right next to the door, which kept opening onto us and had people passing on top of us every 15-30 seconds. So the ambiance wasn’t great for us, and when we asked if there was another table we could move to, we were told no. So we just tried to finish up as quickly as we could. The food was outstanding but between the foot traffic on top of us, and the heaters being not very strong, I can’t say it was a stellar experience.

    Food, wines, service & ambience all were top notch. Loved the fava bean purée & olives. Exceptional pizzas, all quaffed with Aglianico & Taurasi!

    Cozy Italian restaurant with great vibe, delicious food made with the freshest ingredients, amazing wine, and friendly staff. What's not to love? My favorites right now are fennel/citrus salad, and the salmon with string beans, tomatoes and capers. And you can never go wrong with the pizza!

    Went with a large group on a Saturday night. We were sat near the kitchen/pizza oven and IT WAS HOT! everyone was overheating at dinner because of the combo of table location and packed restaurant. Also the noise level was high - everyone yelling to communicate but maybe to be expected on a weekend night
