Aberdeen Barn Steakhouse in Virginia Beach is a family owned and operated business that was established in 1966. We offer a top notch quality selection of Stockyard Angus beef. We are most recognized for our slow roasted Prime Rib, and home of the 48oz Tomahawk Ribeye. We have a love for seafood too, and we get the freshest local stuff- lobster is our love language! We offer an extensive wine list, local beers, and handcrafted cocktails. We have added on and renovated our dining areas to accommodate intimate gatherings and provide an inviting, upscale atmosphere that is unique and unlike your typical steakhouse. This place seemed to be very popular and I saw why once we received our food. The food was delicious but we were seating in a spot in which it was high foot traffic. That would be the only negative thing. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend anyone looking for a date night or just good food, this is your place.

Second time here and the food was great! I had made a reservation so I was seated right away, however, my server did not come within 5 minutes to take my drink order. There appeared to be a bit of confusion as to who was serving the area of the restaurant I was sitting in. But she eventually recovered well and was attentive without hovering. I would recommend Aberdeen for anyone who enjoys a great steak and doesn’t mind paying a bit for it

Visited the day after Valentine’s Day, still pretty busy but they seem to have it organized. The only thing that caught me off guard that after still making at 430om reservation, I was walked all over the restaurant for seating. There were clearly multiple 2 seater areas but was walked outside down a side walk into a tent where they had other diners. It was pouring raining and I asked the server, why was it necessary for me and my fiancé to be seated outside in the cold and rain in a overflow dining tent. Her response was it is heated. I honestly looked around and there were 8 other African American couples eating outside as well. My first observation that people of color were the only people sitting outside. Perhaps coincidence, perhaps random seating. I asked the hostess if any other seat was available and she said is something wrong. I said, they’re clearly seats inside, is pretty cold and raining and I rather not have my food transported throughout the restaurant, pass the bathroom, lobby and waiting area, outside in the rain, uncovered and down a side walk. She agreed and took us back inside and sat us immediately. From there on everything was fantastic! Server was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean. Food was top notch.

1. We had a reservation at 7pm but still had to wait in a long line outside in the cold until we were seated at 7:40. (They overbooked. Management sucked.) 2. We waited 1 1/2 until we received our food. 3. I’ll admit the food was decent & the waitress was great but they do need to work on managing their reservations.

Food and Expectations was great. It was a very busy day but they were very organized. Staff was great as well and very attentive. Food portions are excellent for your money.
