To start off the night at Abrielle we ordered a Margarita and the Bridgette, the margarita was made weird and tasted a little salty but the Bridgette was wonderful. We wanted the whipped eggplant but our server told us it’d been taken off the menu and recommended the pumpkin dip instead, this dish was okay but the house made pita it was served with was very good. We also got the burrata with sourdough which was very good. Following those two we ordered the octopus and the ravioli. The octopus at first looked good but the texture was off, the end of the tentacle tasted like the dirt off of a grill and the back of it had a rubbery texture. The potato’s in this dish were good but the octopus itself was disappointing. The ravioli looked very good but we found it to be pretty bland. It had a creamy savoury flavour, but was also bland and felt like it was missing something. We decided not to order anything else after and I didn’t get a chance to say anything to the server about the octopus because she didn’t ask but we didn’t really care to complain. I’d give it a 5.5/10 overall experience. The service and ambiance were great but the food was disappointing.

On a recent Valentine's Day, my wife and I ventured to Abrielle with high expectations for a memorable culinary experience. The restaurant's modern ambience and well-curated drink selection initially set a promising tone. However, despite its contemporary styling and innovative aspirations, Abrielle's execution left much to be desired. The fixed tasting menu, priced at $150 per person, was presented as a refined journey through shareable plates and a main course featuring Wagyu beef. Unfortunately, the promise of communal dining was undermined not only by surprisingly diminutive portion sizes but also by portions intended for sharing that appeared more suited to a single diner rather than two. This left us questioning the value and intent behind each course. A particularly disappointing moment was the reinterpretation of the classic tartare. Instead of the anticipated beef tartare, the menu offered a beet tartare—a creative, yet ultimately unsatisfying, substitute given the premium pricing. When one is asked to pay top dollar, the expectation is for a dish that respects tradition while executing it with finesse, something that was notably absent. The main course, touted as Wagyu beef, also failed to impress. The exterior bore an overly charred note, while the interior lacked the tenderness one would expect from such a prized cut. In essence, the dish fell short of the high standards one might reasonably expect from both the reputation and the price point. Overall, while Abrielle benefits from a stylish setting and a commendable drinks program, the disconnect between its ambitious pricing and the modest portions and execution suggests that diners may be better served elsewhere in downtown Toronto, where culinary precision meets genuine value.

Amazing restaurant, staff was incredibly knowledgeable, food was outstanding. Victoria our server was very personable and made the experience a memorable one! We will definitely be back and letting everyone know about our fantastic experience

Great experience with the Valentines Day set menu. My girlfriend and I had complex allergies that needed accommodating and the team walked us through everything and made sure the changes were delicious. Food was very strong, particularly the wagyu and the halibut. We loved it so much we would come back next year for Valentine’s Day.

The Winterliscious menu seems like a decent value, but it’s not really. I left hungry. A pre fixe menu should not have a tapas sized main without letting you know beforehand. Be prepared to spend another $20 on a side dish to get close to a normal main sized portion. That said, I didn’t order one because I don’t consider broccoli or cauliflower to be a good pairing with a sweet/savoury pasta. Pasta mains should not require a “side dish”. The ravioli comes with four small ravioli and was just ok - they were dried out a chewy around the edge, very under sauced and served lukewarm. The carpaccio starter is excellent. Highly recommend. The burrata is not as good. It’s not well conceived- the golf ball sized burrata’s flavour is overwhelmed by the bitterness of the radicchio. The Basque cheesecake special was fantastic (def recommend if it’s offered again). Service is attentive and lovely. That said, when our bill arrived I was about to tap but then had to do the awkward thing of inspecting it because it was $287. Turns out we’d been charged for the pre fixe plus two ravioli mains (at $40/plate). The waiter basically just gave me an oops, then went to change it. No real apology for what would have been a $100 overcharge with tip. I know Winterliscious is challenging for any restaurant so I’m giving a generous 3 stars.

Gorgeous Atmosphere, Impeccable Vibes and the service was incredible. We went for Winterlicious, great value for our money, would go back for some drinks at the bar or a special occasion

This place is a joke! Disappointed with the food and portioning. They served us a main course that can only feed a child. The food wasn’t satisfying and tasty at all. I felt we just wasted our time dining in this restaurant. I would suggest going to other nearby restaurants like Kost or Luma where food and portioning are top notch while also participating in the Winterlicious.

I do not eat sweet food. I asked how sweet was my appetizer and she said it was not sweet. It was sweet because of balsamic vinegar reduction on it. The rest were as expected and I was happy with them. I never had to ask if the food I was ordering was sweet. Now I do. And there are still situations as above. With the rate of diabetes on a huge rise less sugar is better. What happened to savoury?

My girlfriends and I went for winterlicious and the ravioli was possibly one of the worst pastas Ive ever had. The food there is decent AT BEST. The interior was super cute but I will never be going back..
