Boasting beautiful original Victorian decor and lined with portraits of prominent Victorian women in history, the Lounge is a light, airy and relaxing haven, just steps away from our grand lobby. the perfect setting for a truly British experience.

The Clermont’s famous afternoon tea includes our daily selection of freshly baked teacakes, home made mini fruit scones and preserves, the finest clotted cream and handmade finger sandwiches.

Please be advised that due to the structure and layout of our hotel, we may be unable to accommodate wheelchair users.

Open Table confirmed our reservations only to find that when we arrived that tea was not offered on Mondays or Tuesdays. This is the second time Open Table has confirmed a reservation for us only to be disappointed and highly inconvenienced by their lack of accurate information. If one can’t rely on confirmed reservations what good are they or their app. Furthermore, there is no way of reaching out to OpenTable to inform them of their lack of accuracy.

Friendly and helpful staff who were very accommodating of our lateness due to some snags in the public transit system. Lovely but relaxed surroundings. The food is classic afternoon tea fare without being exorbitant which was just what we were after. The virgin passion fruit cocktail was a big hit with the kids.

Great service and they served although we arrived late, but poor quality stale food - 3 tiny slices of stale cucumber and salmon sandwich, 3 scones, 2 macaroons, a small pastry - all this for 2 ppl, poor value for the price charged.

I was suppose to have afternoon tea experience someplace else but the bus broke down. After checking for reservations, Th Clermont was had an open and was able to accommodate me. I really appreciated because it was my birthday and thankfully this allowed things to turn around.

The Tea Lounge at Grosvenor Victoria is not open, even though you can still book to go there! We were redirected to The Soak, which is a bar within the hotel, to have a quiet afternoon tea! At arrival in the bar, there was no reservation for our afternoon tea, even though I had it on my telephone with a reference number, therefore the special occasion I had specified was also not recognised! We were asked to sit right by the door/bar in a ‘walkway’ on low chairs - No thank you! Asked to sit at a booth - no problem. Waiter was efficient, and took our order. Tea arrived and sugar bowl etc, opened bowl and there wasn’t any sugar! Called back waiter who took it away and filled it with sugar lumps. Tea cup was chipped at base, took photos. Actual food and drink was very nice, but had I known what was going to occur, I definitely would have chosen an alternative venue. I didn’t like being in a bar, it was busy and noisy. Not the settings I have become accustomed to when having an afternoon tea in a London hotel! Then when I went to pay, there was a 12.5% service charge added - what a cheek! No reservation, no recognition of the birthday celebration, no Tea Lounge, no sugar, chipped cup! I bought this to attention and the service charge was waived. I shouldn’t have had to do that, they should have given us a free glass of bubbly and waived the service charge without a mention!

We had a lovely afternoon tea at the Grosvenor Victoria food was very nice & the staff could not be more attentive- will definitely be going back again soon

I wrote feedback on trip advisor. The ambience has gone compared to my previous visits. Room was more like a crash out area with people on laptops & meetings. The room had been repainted and sofas & other comfy chairs removed. The scones & sweet desserts were awful. Not much Tea choice.
