                  From arrival to our final bite, the service was warm and very accommodating. Our meal started with an amuse bouche and ended with a small sweet gift to take with us. Every course was wonderful and many surprises came along the way as additional tasty bites. Because of the current virus fear the dining room wasn’t filled yet in normal times I’m sure reservations would be difficult to get....the food was very good. I would certainly recommend Adega to anyone.

                  I am Portuguese, having grown up with Portuguese food. I have traveled to Portugal and eaten that the restaurants there, both regular places and fine restaurants. I am a new resident to the city of San Jose, and wanted to try out some Portuguese restaurants. I was hoping for traditional dishes at Adega. Instead, I got modern interpretations of traditional Portuguese dishes, at very expensive prices. The ambiance was nice, the wall decorations were artistic and well displayed, and the service was attentive and friendly; that part was a good experience. However, the main reason for my visit, the food, was not very impressive. And at the end of the dinner for two, the bill plus 15% tip was $280. In the future, if I want to impress a date, I might return to Adega. However in the meanwhile, I will try the other Portuguese restaurants in the area. Thanks

                  Everything was great. My husband and I have been twice before and loved it. We brought my in laws and while everything was fantastic and tasted great, the service didn't seem to flow as smoothly as it did in the past. Again, nothing wrong! But maybe there was longer than usual pauses between courses. We will continually come here though!

                  Adega was a very authentic and delicious experience from cocktails to dessert. We highly recommend you to try the Pasteis de Bacalhau and the Caldo verde, as well as the Bacalhau as mais course and the Rabanada for dessert. Chef also provides many small dishes degustation opportunities. We will be back!
