Our Regular Afternoon Tea Times as follows:
Thursday – Friday – Saturday – Sunday
Seating Times: 3:00pm and 3:15pm (2 hour reservation)

This is a 2 Hour Afternoon Tea Experience!

A tradition at Old Mill Toronto since 1914, our Afternoon Tea service is a delightful midday diversion filled with exotic teas and delectable sandwiches and a glass of bubbly if you wish. We are thrilled to now serve Canada’s finest tea as part of your service, Sloane Fine Tea Merchants. We have hand picked 12 new signature Sloane teas that we think best represent our English roots and that compliment our brand new scrumptious Tea menu.
Please note all tea services will beheld indoors.

Kindly note our Winter Wonderland Tea experience is 2 hours and will be held in multiple rooms. We do not take seating requests. We were ushered into a smallish room just steps from the entrance. The room was tightly packed with as many tables as possible and no windows 4 walls of prints therefore the name the Print Room. A brief history was given on the room followed by a small pot of our choice of tea. We sipped at our tea waiting for the remaining 3 tier stand which did not arrive until we made a point of notifying the server. The tier for one person arrived and my tier took a little longer. Mine was gluten free (paid extra) with a choice of four different sandwiches of which I only got a choice of the first two. The second tray had the scones but again I did not receive what I read on their web site. In fact it was two of the same and so hard that not only could I not bite into them I would have without question damaged a tooth since even my knife would not cut into them the one I tried to cut shot off my plate. Desserts were as noted. The other person I was with also was short changed and some time later one of the two deleted was brought to her separately but mine was ignored and without seeing the menu I wasn't aware of the oversight. One factor that determined our choice for the Old Mill as our Afternoon Tea Experience was due to the menu. In retrospect the menu was placed in front of us to choose the tea and said if we wish to look over the selection but as soon as we chose our tea the menu was quickly removed and I do say quickly which would prevent us from seeing what we were paying for was not what we would receive. We connected with the couple beside us who are real ardent tea goers and they too were disappointed and gave us comparisons. It is noted on the web site that changes to the menu can take place but change is not deleting and giving you less for your money. Restitution should take place to rectify this. On speaking to the manager after, I was told by her it is capacity in other words it is not about us, rather its about them and their profit

The food was mediocre, the service was not the best (long wait times, little attention from servers, attitude when asking for location of bathroom from people who worked in the inn)

The service was exceptional. Our party had the regular and vegetarian options with the selection for each very tasty. Impossible for us to eat all the tempting sweets. Wide variety of teas tu suit every palate. The service was very attentive . Although very busy it was possible to carry on a conversation without difficulty. A great Toronto tradition not to be missed.

The customer service was excellent. The servers were fantastic! The food was excellent and so was the presentation. We were very disappointed in the room and decor. There were expecting an 'elevated' experience - however the inflatable decorations and dollar store bows looked quite tacky and really took away from the overall experience.

What a fun Holiday Season kickoff. A lovely room all decorated for winter festivities and full of history. The selection of teas, savoury and sweet treats was great. This might become an annual event!
