The venue is beautiful and a calm setting with great views. The food was on the whole was ample and a good selection. The sandwiches were a little dry on both sides and although there was a great selection of cakes, there were three of us and sometimes only 1 or 2 of the mini cakes on offer. Everything else had three eg three sandwiches, three scones Every all it was a great experience and value for money.

Very good value for afternoon tea. And used adventure Island annual pass for extra 20%off unlimited drinks too! 👌Fresh sandwiches, nice selection of cakes and Warm scones too. Had children with us too perfect for family's, Will be back.

My wife attended on Friday 27th October 2023 with a friend as a special treat expecting the place to be as per previous visits. Disappointed to find Sands seems to have become almost a burger bar with the emphasis on fast food. Not what she was expecting and unlikely to return which is a great shame

Staff member, food and whole experience was 💯, would and have recommended Afternoon Cream tea at Sands to my family and friends. Thank you, finished off our day tip to Southend on sea perfectly, will be visiting again.

Food was good and served quickly bur the service was below par, no welcome, table was pointed to and we were left to do the running about ie asking for more tea etc, I would think twice before I visited again

The food was nice for the price. Liked that the sandwich fillings were not "fancy" . Liked that it included soft/fizzy drinks too. Would recommend using nicer/better quality teabags & coffee, as neither were particularly pleasant. Seems the staff from Adventure Island go here for lunch, so it was rather noisy with them there. They also seemed to get priority with their food coming out before ours, even though we were there & ordered before them & they ordered at the bar after us. This meant our food took a while to come out as they got theirs first. Was a lovely warm sunny day and was lovely to sit in the outside area with a glass of wine/bear afterward.

Great value afternoon tea, food was great couldn't finish it all. Was given box to bring the rest home. Staff welcoming and friendly. Good atmosphere, family environment. Would recommend.

Went for afternoon tea, excellent selection, everything taste freshly made, cakes were fantastic, reasonably priced. Would definitely go again and recommend it.
