TĪNG, named after the Chinese word for ‘living room’, is the collective name for the restaurant and lounge on level 35 of Shangri-La The Shard, London.

TĪNG Restaurant's delicious afternoon tea is the perfect way for guests to indulge while enjoying views of London that stretch for miles. Freshly-made sandwiches and baked scones are served alongside delicate themed treats.

Shangri-La Cares; our safety programme entails a range of enhanced protocols and measures in addition to our already rigorous hygiene and safety standards. Designed to ensure our colleagues work in a safe environment with peace of mind and that our guests can confidently enjoy the moments that matter most while in our care.

We were kept waiting 20 minutes despite being on time for our reservation - restaurant was not overly busy and there were free tables - though they hadn’t been set Service was friendly but very slow. We had to ask for more tea three times before it arrived 20 minutes later. The same happened when we asked for soya milk. Our tea had gone cold by the time it arrived. Staff seemed confused and overwhelmed. Food was definitely NOT worth the money. Tiny portions. No extra sandwiches available. I think we paid for the view. Ok but wouldn’t return.

Exemplary service from all staff made this a wonderful experience for the family. The superb attentiveness of staff was matched by the amazing festive afternoon tea.

We booked an afternoon tea for my friend’s birthday and to be honest it was very disappointing for the price. The sandwiches were actually quite tasteless and there are no extras offered. Quite mediocre pastries too. Even the crockery looked very bare. They also didn’t wish my friend a happy birthday although I mentioned it. For the price, it was such a disappointment! (I just tried Laduree and Landmark- and both have outstanding food) The only good thing was the service. Medina and Salman served us and they we’re very courteous, patient and polite. But overall, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Quite disappointed with the actual food served - all the tea sweet treats were mousse based (economical base for a dessert + monotonous) Even though beautiful to look at, lacked flavor and variation overall. The bread for the sandwiches and buns were dry although the fillings were flavourful. The service was great - Musa was fantastic Views are incredible Decor - lovely

The lofty views of the City of London outweighs the taste of the food, which was basic at best and did not correspond with the ambience & luxury decor.

Unfortunately I was disappointed in the overall service as well as the selection of "Festive" treats. There seemed to be may staff 'floating' around but not consistent. Each of the sweet items (apart from the scones) were all very similar in texture and mousse-like. Considering it was supposed to be a Festive Afternoon Tea I didn't feel the decor / table or surroundings was festive - apart from the entrance into the Ting. Definitely not worth the price I paid unfortunately, although we are most likely paying for the view.....

We really enjoyed our festive afternoon tea experience at Ting, Shangri La. It is a beautiful cosy restaurant and the service was impeccable. However, all of the sandwiches were dry and had hardly any filling in them, the flavours were also quite bland especially in the rolls with the hummus and parsnip fillings. The scones and cakes were all lovely and tasted wonderful. If they were to change the sandwiches and rolls, I would give 10/10 in the review.
