First off, for the people who don’t want to read a ton of reviews, I DO NOT recommend this place! Simply put, this place is overpriced and poor quality of food! The service was good. Our server was really friendly and we even tipped her well according to her service rather than based on the food quality and price. The food is not authentic Mexican food by any means. The food is extremely overpriced! The Mango Margarita was okay but had no mango flavor. The Red Sangria was served warm. The Tomato Guacamole was a large portion, but tastes just like smashed avocado with small amounts of tomato. My daughter liked her Soft Tacos with Steak, but the rice and beans were served cold. Paying $28 for a steak quesadilla, $34 for ONLY 8 shrimps and small amount of cold rice, plus $6.50 each for a side of rice and black beans, which were also cold and not tasty at all was ridiculous! This place is beyond overpriced! I honestly can’t believe this place is always booked! This place only takes reservations through Open Table and if you cancel or miss your reservations they will charge your card $25 per person in your reservation party. Just giving everyone a heads up to what they are to expect from this restaurant. There are other Mexican restaurants in the area that are worth going to instead!

We have always dined at Agave, especially in Lewes. Since we are formerly from Southern California, our expectations for good Mexican food are high. As I told a few servers at Agave, their food rivals some of the best Mexican food restaurants in our former Orange County. A good restaurant!

Food was very good, but music in the room was extremely loud. We asked if it could be turned down as we could not hear others at our table. The server said it was not possible.

Our table was ready and our server Aida was attentive, yet did not pressure us. The food and drinks were excellent.

Margaritas are excellent. Cobalt margarita is my favorite. Try the Oaxaca old fashioned. Chips salsa queso and guacamole are the best food is always good.

Natalie was a gracious server. Her suggestions for menu selection and top shelf margaritas was spot on. We had the filet mignon fajitas and steak - blue cheese Quesadilla with sweet potato side. All was excellent.
