The Brasserie has become synonymous with the North End of Halifax, the region’s most vibrant food destination, serving locally sourced product in an iconic neighborhood.

French inspired food in a stylish and vibrant atmosphere, the Brasserie (est. 2013) focuses on sustainable seafood & ambitious sophisticated cooking where all breads, jams, sauces and desserts are made in house.

Sit on the butcher block bar and enjoy a glass of wine after work, a bar snack, or a full menu during dinner hours. The exposed brick lounge offers a cozy nook for quiet conversation. Further inside the Brasserie is an open kitchen where one can sit at the counter and enjoy the inner workings of the Brasserie culinary operation. Our lively upstairs patio seats 50 and is open during the sunny summer months for cocktails & cuisine.

We welcome you for Brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30- 2:30 with a snack menu between 2:30-4pm and we are open 7 days a week, 4pm to close.

    Agricola Street Brasserie can accommodate up to 25 guests for private dining in the mezzanine overlooking the open kitchen. Perfect for a private dinner party, a christmas event or a dinner lecture, it’s tucked away enough to be private but open enough to still feel a part of the dining activity. For larger events we are able to reserve the entire dining room, mezzanine and patio!

                                                            Fun vibe, great food at a reasonable price, friendly staff. Food was served at a relaxing pace, noise level was low, which made for a relaxing night out.

                                                            I want to say that this is one of the coolest restaurants. I’ve been there twice and they celebrated small holidays for me. The service was all these two times, at the highest level, the food tasted delicious. Thank you for the attentiveness of the staff at every moment, from water to understanding when to take the order.

                                                            The food was very nice. However, my server forgot to log in my starter. I asked about it only a while after my partner's starter had come and it then came quite a while later. Not great. I was then billed for a bottle of wine that was $15 more than I had ordered. I only noticed later on, so was unable to get a refund. Again, not great.

                                                            The food was great, but I find the valentines "special " was way over priced. I would have preferred to just order off the menu. The combination of items based on your regular menu did not value the amount charged, I booked the table and wasn't told until the day before that I could only choose the valentines menu, it was to late to book anywhere else as everything was booked already. Certain not worth the price paid.
