This has to be one of Ottawa’s most innovative and special dining experiences. The atmosphere is a blend of smooth and spacious bistro tables and banquette seating, with a stylish Centre bar area and exposed kitchen. It has a definite uptown chic vibe. Music is subtle with a great mix of soft house and jazz fusion with low lighting that sets the tone for an equally special gastronomic experience. Service is impeccable as you would expect from this level of dining. Special note to Oliver for his great attention to making the dinner a special one. Food is clearly locally sourced and it’s all about taste and presentation in a classic degustation style. As visitors to Ottawa, we could easily have mistaken this for a Michelin fine dining experience; it was that good. It is sophisticated dining, but without pretense. The pace of course offerings is relaxed and unhurried. We were impressed by the confidence of the chef and his team to create an ambitious menu selection for us that blended flavors, textures and culinary themes that made each dish not only approachable, but enticing as well. On a cold and snowy January evening, Aiāna was a special dining experience that offered something special - outstanding food, great taste, and personalized service.

We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday. Made a reservation. Upon arrrival we were promptly seated at a requested high top by the bar. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. The drink menu on the ipad where you have to click on each drink to read about the ingredients was time consuming. The food menu was fairly small but interesting. All the drinks were too sour even the old fashioned which was strange, we asked to remake them - they came out perfect. For dinner we started off with french onion soup that had an absolute best presentation but it wasnt the classic french onion. It was very very sweet without any kinda bread or croutons or gruyere cheese. Our main course consisted of Beef Cheeks and Shrimp with grits and chorizo. Beautiful presentation. But not so much flavor. We finished off with two desserts that were actually the highlight of our experience - Citrus & Cream, Vanilla & Caramel. Both were delicious. To conclude, this fine dining restaurant has great ambience, beautiful interior, great service. But the food and drinks could be better. It is pricier than other establishments in the area. Service Charge (Tip) is included in the menu pricing.

This was a terrible service for a fine dine restaurant. I brought my celiac girlfriend who was unable to eat anything due to them not being accommodating to the allergy. I Do not recommend to anyone who has an allergy as the chef does not want to accommodate anything to complicate the menu. The waiter Sean was very extremely nice and don’t have anything bad to say about him.

I celebrated my birthday there and it was just very classy and the ambiance was beautiful. The food could use a bit of more seasoning, I had the beef cheek and there was almost no salt or seasoning. But the desert was very good! It was popcorn flavoured desert dish - very creative and tasted amazing. The service was 10/10. Overall was a great night thank you to the team. ☺️

An amazing experience. I loved the attention to detail by the chef and staff. Cocktails were on point. An amazing wine recommendation by the sommelier. We will return.

We enjoyed the New Year's tasting menu at Aiana. It was, overall, very good. The only hiccups were one course when the wine didn't come before the food and the wines on the pairing weren't explained as much as I would have enjoyed. Aina is a 'living wage' restaurant, which means there is no time because the price includes paying staff what they should receive.

This was not only a fabulous dining experience, but it was also a completely enjoyable evening out with friends on a special night of the year, at a difficult moment in our lives. The food and services were outstanding. I will always remember that Basque truffle cake, the lobster bisque, and the sturgeon. But our friends also loved the oysters and the wagyu beef "sandwich" - and we all "oohed and aahed" over the dessert! Thank you Chef Raghav Chaudary.
