Chef Akira Back opens his first Canadian namesake restaurant in Toronto’s Bisha Hotel. Drawing on inspiration from his Korean heritage and travels around the globe, chef Back has created a menu that blends modern Japanese cuisine with authentic Korean flavours. In addition to his signature dishes, Back has created new items unique for the Toronto location. Really enjoyed dinner at Akira Back. The A5 Wagyu Nigiri was amazing (a must-try) and the sushi platter was very fresh. The Toban filet mignon was cooked well and the sauteed mushrooms were delicious. Even their vegetable fried rice was so good. The service we got from Gloria was great - she is always very friendly, kind, and thoughtful. I'll be back again soon.

10/10 experience at Akira Back. The food was unreal- before even paying to leave for the night I had already messaged 3 separate people regarding this place and now they need to try it. Looking forward to coming back soon as it was amazing and would recommend to anyone thinking about trying out this place. Great job Akira Back!

Went for a birthday dinner with my fiance - you can taste the difference between an average sushi restaurant and this. No spongy shrimp or hard rice , everything was great including the service by my waiter shawn - provided prompt and friendly service, always made sure our table were clean and provided great conversation. Would highly recommend for anyone celebrating an occasion

We had an incredible all around dining experience! The food was exceptional - from the presentation to the taste and the the service was top notch. I would recommend and return without hesitation.
