a.kitchen is an all-day French-inspired American restaurant under Executive Chef Eli Collins. His new bistro-style menu allows guests to stop by for a few small plates or enjoy a more traditional dinner or lunch. The restaurant continues to be a top wine destination in the country with its innovative natural and terroir driven list representing regions throughout the world. Reservations are available for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. a.bar, at 1737 Walnut Street, is the sibling to a.kitchen and has a cocktail focus. It also serves snacks, burgers, salads and other seasonal selections.

                  This cozy restaurant turns out great food and very good drinks. It’s noisy, but in a comforting way. The menu is varied blending ingredients in a novel way. It works. The service is attentive, but not rushed

                  We love this restaurant! The food is consistently good, and the wait staff really professional and pleasant. Occasionally they get too cutesy with the menu (grilled cheese doesn’t need dressing up) but it’s a great restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

                  I was excited to try the brunch here as I’ve stopped in for drinks which are pretty decent. However, the service here was so poor. I certainly understand when a place is busy and drinks and food take time to come out; however, our waitress couldn’t be bothered with us. It felt like a chore to ask for anything (nothing custom either). With a place of this reputation and quality, you would think the service would be delightful, however I just felt like we were always looking for our waitress - she didn’t deliver the salt until my food was cold. Skip here and go somewhere where they appreciate your patronage.

                  Went to celebrate a one in a lifetime experience and left with jaw on the sidewalk. Words can only express so much. A must try in the city of Philadelphia. Will definitely be back before the years over!!
