Alder’s kitchen is centered around its wood-fired grill and hearth. For the menu, Chef Patrick Kriss of the award-winning and nationally acclaimed Alo Food Group draws inspiration from traditions and techniques long-practiced in and around the Mediterranean – spanning Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Tunisia and Morocco. Whether you’re flying solo with an Alder Burger and a beer, gathering friends for small plates and cocktails, or diving into a feast of prime meats and fresh seafood, we’ve got you covered.

Awarded a spot on the Toronto Michelin Guide for 2023 and 2024, Alder is a warm and comfortable place to be, like just the right distance from a bonfire.

Join us for our first partner dinner of 2025! Celebrate the best of Ontario with an evening of guided wine pairings from Niagara's Rosewood Wines. Enjoy a specially curated four-course dinner by Michelin-starred Chef Patrick Kriss, paired with choice selections from Rosewood Wines catalogue. This is a ticketed event, priced at $175 per person (plus 20% gratuity). A $100 deposit is required at the time of booking, which will be applied to the final bill. Cancelations made within 3 days of the event will forfeit their deposit.

Amazing overall experience! Chef's special was super delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. We were attracted by the design of the space, but we were actually surprised with the food quality and service level.

Great overall experience with our server, Mina. She always had a smile and was very attentive to our needs. The ambiance, food and drinks were great.

8:30 pm NYE 2025 - $180, 5-Course Prix Fixe to ring in the New Year at Alder with a multi-course tasting menu in their main dining room, including a celebratory Champagne toast at midnight, luxurious menu additions, and special… The best part of the evening was DJ Pleasure (upstairs working a private event) playing fantastic tunes to kick off our night! Conway did a great job accommodating our festive mood. Happy 2025!

The restaurant is small and intimate. The crowd was not douchey. The staff are friendly and service was excellent. Food was very delicious. We appreciated that we were never rushed at any point of our dining experience.

Loved the design, lighting and ambiance of Adler. The food matches this and is really great, particularly the fall apart short ribs, cucumber salad and one of the best coconut cream pies that I've ever tried! Highly recommend!

Excellent. I was hosting my siblings from our of town for our yearly holiday brunch. Michaela was our server as she was very attentive and dialled-in to our needs. We came is just after the live music so we didn’t get a chance to check that out but the entire experience was excellent. We may very well come back next holiday for brunch again!

We had an outstanding experience at Alder. My family had been trying to make the trip for some time and the anticipation only made our meal that much sweeter. Tiffany was very attentive and so lovely! She had great recommendations and personalized the experience in a really memorable way for all of us. Exceptional food and wine, and really fantastic service from the whole team — we did not want for anything. Thank you all very much!
