Alder’s kitchen is centered around its wood-fired grill and hearth. For the menu, Chef Patrick Kriss of the award-winning and nationally acclaimed Alo Food Group draws inspiration from traditions and techniques long-practiced in and around the Mediterranean – spanning Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Tunisia and Morocco. Whether you’re flying solo with an Alder Burger and a beer, gathering friends for small plates and cocktails, or diving into a feast of prime meats and fresh seafood, we’ve got you covered.

Awarded a spot on the Toronto Michelin Guide for 2023 and 2024, Alder is a warm and comfortable place to be, like just the right distance from a bonfire.

Loved the design, lighting and ambiance of Adler. The food matches this and is really great, particularly the fall apart short ribs, cucumber salad and one of the best coconut cream pies that I've ever tried! Highly recommend!

Excellent. I was hosting my siblings from our of town for our yearly holiday brunch. Michaela was our server as she was very attentive and dialled-in to our needs. We came is just after the live music so we didn’t get a chance to check that out but the entire experience was excellent. We may very well come back next holiday for brunch again!

We had an outstanding experience at Alder. My family had been trying to make the trip for some time and the anticipation only made our meal that much sweeter. Tiffany was very attentive and so lovely! She had great recommendations and personalized the experience in a really memorable way for all of us. Exceptional food and wine, and really fantastic service from the whole team — we did not want for anything. Thank you all very much!

Avoid going there to celebrate anything they will do a very poor job at that . Management lacks training in handling customer complaints and making things right.

Fantastic as always. Been here twice now on every Christmas day. The food never disappoints and neither do the drinks or desserts. The staff is friendly and the place is a vibe!

The food was really good. My friends and I enjoyed our meals. The lighting was bad so we couldn’t get good pictures. Our service lady was really friendly and jovial. Our table was properly served. Thank you, Alder!

We made a reservation for Christmas Day… my son works at a hotel and we came up to make sure he was not alone. I was ho hum about a turkey dinner out … this restaurant blew us all away! Every course was fantastic and the portions were very generous! Maia was the most incredible gracious host … I say host because they made us feel right at home! We cannot wait to return! Beautiful restaurant and incredible staff… hard to find in Toronto these days! Thank you for making our Christmas perfect
