Behind the scene of Alecco bar & restaurant we take our pride in our Italian Head chef that has an experience of over 15 years in hospitality, with a back ground of Italian and European cuisine, that has worked with Gordon Ramsay, with the celebrity chef Jason Atherton Michelin starred Social house company and Ben Tish. Worked also in Sky garden, COYA, Gilgamish in Camden town, and Billionare in Dubai.

Friendly staff, efficient service, a bit pricey, nice sauces with steaks. More selection on menu now than when first opened. White & Rose wines start at £24 but reds start at £29 - we cannot understand why the reds do not start at a similar price. Our red would've been better if it was room temperature, it was rather cold. Would like to return sometime.

Really lovely place to eat - food was good quality and we enjoyed the wine and desserts too. Quite a small space for four of us outside and we had an umbrella stand by our feet which restricted things further, but it was still a lovely relaxing evening catching up with friends. Great that they had an aircon option for eating inside as it was hot, but it smelled of fish inside and I didn’t really fancy that. On the whole a great dining experience - one of the best in B/Hill, and lovely waitress too.

Would not think you could get the quality of food from the appearance of the outside. Don't be fooled! Food was great, my partner had flat iron steak which was very tasty literally not a bit of fat on it and cooked to perfection. And beef carpaccio for starters was delicious! The presentation of the burrata starter was lovely. Just needed a tad more seasoning (when I mean a little I mean just would have been handy to have salt and pepper on the table) but really enjoyed it anyway, great portion sizes. It is not a bar by any means, don't know why it's called bar and restaurant. It's a restaurant. And a great one at that. The seats were very comfy, service was attentive but not too much. It looks no thrills from the outside and it wasn't busy inside. Now I'm a very fussy eater and I'll nitpick whatever I can but I can't see why this local was not more busy especially in such a wealthy area. It's great food, good prices for that food and its presented nicely, The massive black posters in the window need to go but I imagine they would need locals to invest in them before they can make any needed adaptations. To the exterior image. We went here because of the reviews, so definitely hope this will be another one that help someone else make the choice to give it a go.
