   I was disappointed with the food, portion size was not very good and all sides had to be added to your order for example you had to add chips and peas to your battered cod it only came as the cod only, had to ask waiter staff a few times for drinks and they also forgot a couple of times, overall the restaurant has a nice atmosphere however the food and service let it down plus prices of the food for what you got wasn’t great either this surprised me following all the good reviews on the website, I will not be booking another reservation anytime soon

   Went for the Valentines Dinner, very very busy, had to wait a while for our table so had a drink upstairs and then finally whisked to our table. Starters were lovely, main was good and dessert was great. Great set menu, only issue was price, we thought it was 70pp but it was acc 115pp. Not very clear on the website which was dinner and which was lunch as it was one PDF/page.

   It was my girlfriend’s birthday so through Open Table booked at Alec’s and request a nice table. Upon arrival staff had all the information and were shown to a lovely table. Service and food good was great also. My fav restaurant in the area

   Had a fabulous meal. Delicious salmon mousse amuse-bouche treat to start with our Champagne. Oysters were shucked to perfection and really tasty. Jellied eels were great and meaty not too much jelly. Malaysian Prawns were wonderful, sauce was delicious and not too over powering. Delicious meal in a lovely atmosphere, couldn’t fault it
