Located on the third floor of ONE65, Alexander's Steakhouse in San Francisco offers a fine dining interpretation of a Modern American Steakhouse with hints of Japanese influences throughout our menu.     Did not like the new location, food was ok but below what I would expect for meal that cost $200/ per person. Ordered the New York cut and it was tough and over rested.

    The ASH Old Fashion was the best I’ve had. Great combo of orange bitters and brown sugar. The short rib appetizer was fantastic as was the fried rice side dish. We also had the oysters on the half shell and Hamachi shooters. They were fresh and good, but not extraordinary. We had fillets and a ribeye. Everything was cooked as ordered. The pomegranate jus/sauce served with my fillet (prime, domestic) was wonderful. We also ordered the F1 fillet and the ribeye. Both were great and the comment on the ribeye was that it was ”among the best I’ve had, very flavorful”. The truffle fries were delicious and arrived perfectly hot. The wine list is extensive, fairly priced and features many of our favorites. Anthony, our server was attentive and engaged in a way that added to our enjoyment of the evening.

    Overall my husband and I had a great experience. The only thing was the hostess said she could not find our reservation. Then said in front of us that we probably booked it for the wrong day. This was a back and forth conversation for almost 5 minutes. Keep in mind, there was no one in the restaurant at this time so we could easily be accommodated. The weird thing too is the hostess literally called me confirming my reservation and their address change. This first interaction really through us off. During dinner service all staff was great and we loved our waiter. He was very attentive! We were also celebrating our anniversary, so he did things to make us feel special. At the end of the night, when we went to pick up our left overs at the hostess stand we again had another bad encounter. She handed us the wrong food bag BEFORE we handed her our ticket. As she was doing this I said that is not our bag. She proceeded to hang it to my husband before making the correction. She didn’t even look at our ticket or listen to us. Anyways, overall everything was pretty good. Minus the hostess who gave us weird/bad vibes at both our entrance and exit.

    Fantastic! Honestly, one of the best dining experience I've ever had. I wish I remembered the name of our waiter but he was the best, jovial, patient, not stuffy. We wanted a somewhat protracted dinner b/c we had a lot of catching up to do and he was great about letting the evening flow. Food was impeccable. Presentation was flawless. Filet perfectly seared. Coming back again for sure

    We always enjoyed the old location. The new location will be a bit of a shock to past customers who were used to the traditional five-star atmosphere, but we understand times have changed. Their food and service are still very exceptional!

    My husbands wagu steak cam out cold. We waited for an hour to get our meal and we were the first people in the restaurant
