Alice B. restaurant and bar from award-winning chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken combines Southern California’s incredible seasonal bounty with Mediterranean-leaning flavors. The culinary vision is a collaborative effort between Feniger, Milliken and acclaimed Executive Chef Lance Velasquez.

This unique dining experience is located at Living Out, a luxury resort-style LGBTQ+ active senior community surrounded by spectacular mountain views. Inspired by the extraordinary life of Alice B. Toklas and her life partner Gertrude Stein, the restaurant establishes a vibrant space where culinary excellence, art, and community converge seamlessly.

We offer indoor & outdoor seating, plus bar seating. Dinner starts at 5PM. Bar menu starts at 4PM. Join us for Brunch on Sat & Sun from 10AM - 2PM & live music on select nights.

Mary Sue Milliken & Susan Feniger are the founders of Mundo Hospitality Group, including Border Grill, Pacha Mamas, BBQ Mexicana, SOCALO, and most recently Alice B.

Food was fantastic and service was excellent. Cocktails were top notch. Even the music was superb. Classic jazz. The only thing that marked the ambience was a very loud table nearby.

Great food and service. Chef Susan is there to check on all the tables to make sure the customers are enjoying. NY strip steak absolutely the best; branzino fabulous, pork shoulder very tasty but a little fatty. Must get the cheddar biscuits. Just a fun place with a pleasant vibe.

I was so looking forward to dining at Alice B. Unfortunately it was an epic failure. The four of us placed our brunch orders with the server. Two meals arrived, both incorrect. I ordered the chilliquiles with over easy eggs and no cilantro. The cilantro was over the eggs and easily removed however the eggs were fried hard. The second dish was ordered with fruit and no potatoes, potatoes were served and a side of fruit was delivered after it was brought to the food runner’s attention. The third of four dishes arrived about 5 minutes later with over poached eggs. The fourth dish arrived just before we finished the three dishes. My food was delicious even with the mistakes. The rest of the entrees were okay. My biggest issue is the manager was made aware of the situation yet never checked back on the table. We then were presented with the bill which included the frittata that was 20 minutes late. I brought this to the attention of the manager and he agreed that the frittata should not have been on the bill as the server failed to put in the order correctly and the frittata was on a separate order that the kitchen put a rush on. The manager gave me a card and said to let him know the next time we came in and he would make sure that we would be compensated for the frittata. It was apparent that the restaurant was understaffed and all the employees were doing their best, and mistakes do happen. My concern is that we were avoided by the server and manager rather than insuring that we were well taken care of. I have dined at the owners other restaurants and had some memorable meals, this too was memorable but not in a good way. I just want to add I was a restaurant owner as well as a general manager at a few others, so I always understand about issues, this was not handled in a professional manner.

Food, service, drinks were all fantastic. We sat on the patio, which was quiet and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

A throughly enjoyable evening. The ambience is warm and inviting. Everyone at our table agreed the food was excellent and the staff was friendly and attentive. This, IMHO, is a wonderful place for dinner.

We rarely give five stars, so four is not damning with faint praise. On our second dinner at Alice Be we were impressed again with the overall quality and variety of the food, the service and the decor. My branzino was a little dry and could have used more salt, but pretty much everything else we tried was excellent. We'll definitely return to this gem of a place.
