Alla Famiglia has been delighting local and traveled guests in this very same location for over two decades. This "diamond in the rough" is conveniently located on the hilltop of Pittsburgh's South Side. Boasting a fine dining atmosphere, its family owned and operated, and promises to deliver a consistent product with every visit. You will be greeted and treated like family, as you enjoy homemade scratch Italian specialties, an award winning wine list, and complex scratch cocktails. Dine in an old world atmosphere under paddle fans, exposed brick, antiquities from all around the world. Six unique and interestingly decorated dining rooms comprises the character of this institution which started with just 8 tables, 25 years ago. Choose from daily provisioned fishes and exotics from the sea, dry and wet aged Prime beef, tender milk fed veal, and homemade maccheroni are just some of the choices you will have to select from. Crown the evening with our pastries prepared on site.

This was our first time here as we were just passing through, and all I can say is from the service to the food it was nothing short of spectacular. The wait staff followed our pace for dinning as to how they timely served each course. No rushing to finish one course while they were serving the next one. it was a very relaxed and enjoyable evening. Highly recommend this place.

Me and my girlfriend came in for our anniversary and we’re absolutely blown away!! The food, the service, the over all experience was like anything we had experienced. We have already told many of our friends and our family about our experience there and they all want a chance to come try it out and we couldn’t be more happy to come back. Daisy was our server and she was excellent and her support was great! Richard at the front and filling waters was awesome and great to talk to!

We really liked the house salad and the Cacio e Pepe. Both were delicious and had wonderful flavor. I got the Gorgonzola filet mignon and my husband got the veal chop ripieno. I liked mine a lot, but my husband said he would not reorder the veal chop - not cause it was bad, but it wasn’t just his taste. We split the raspberry Tiramisu for dessert. It was delicious! Highly recommend. My biggest qualm is that I had booked for Valentine’s Day weekend, and though I had looked to see if they were serving from a special menu, couldn’t find that on their Instagram or Website. When we arrived, they WERE service from a smaller, special menu. I just wish we had known that in advance. Also, they sat us in a VERY dark and VERY quiet back room, so it was hard to have a conversation without disturbing the other two tables in the room.
