Alma is a restaurant based on the tastes and experiences of our kitchen team focusing on modern Chinese cuisine headed by Chef/Owner Anna Chen.
We are built around food that uses fresh, simple, quality ingredients and our focus is to create a unique dining experience.
Our beverage program is focused on Natural Wines curated by Sommeliers Kate Densmore and Ben Dalton.
As of September 2022, Alma has been recognized by the Michelin Guide as a recipient of the Bib Gourmand award.

    Recommend the chicken wings and the cod dish. Highly recommend the duck vindaloo . Just delicious. Service was great, and noise level just as we liked it. To have the ability to communicate.

    They knock our socks off every time. Each corner of the menu is worth exploring! The classics, the specials, the wine list and the desserts!!! (This time we had a glutinous rice cake with a brûlée’d top and it was life changing). One of the best and most consistent spots in the city ❤️

    We chose ‘trust Alma’. The server asked if we had any restrictions for food and price ceiling for wine. Two choices and the rest was taken care of! I lost count of how many courses we received. All wonderful! I left perfectly full and not overwhelmed! Wonderful experience!

    Easily on my favourite lists of restaurants in Toronto. Everything we ate was exceptional in flavour and presentation. Our server and host were so friendly. You can see a lot of love goes into this restaurant and I will be back many times. Already hungry for more.

    Really good Nasi goreng for an Indonesian myself. It was really unexpected, though I expect more from the char siu. It was a bit tougher than I expected. But overall it was really good, server was really nice 👍🏻

    The meal was one of the best I’ve had in a long time; the food was imaginative yet approachable. There wasn’t a bite I didn’t enjoy. Service was top notch. Will be returning and recommending

    Alma never disappoints! We celebrated our one year wedding anniversary here and ordered the tapioca fritters, bao buns, pork wonton noodles, mustard greens and mushrooms and the chicken wings. It’s truly hard to pick a favourite because they were all exceptional. We also had the sweet potato and vanilla ice cream dessert. Truly an incredible dining experience from start to finish. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We will for sure visit again soon :)
