Alo is a contemporary French restaurant located atop a heritage building in downtown Toronto. Our cuisine is internationally inspired and celebrates the finest in seasonal ingredients paired with a genuine sense of welcome.
Alo was awarded one Michelin Star in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

    Join us in our dining room for a new tasting menu that features the best ingredients we can source. Our menu is internationally inspired and prepared using classic French technique. Please note that we are unable to accommodate vegan/vegetarian tasting menus, dairy/egg allergies, seafood allergies or aversion to raw meat/seafood. If there are any dietary concerns within your party, please reach out to info@alorestaurant.com at your earliest convenience before booking a reservation. The tasting menu is offered at $225 per guest and does not include beverages, service charge and tax. Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance will be charged the full price of the tasting menu per guest.

    Our Kitchen Counter features bar-style seating and faces our open kitchen for an engaging dining experience. The Kitchen Counter offers a blind multi-course tasting menu, including luxurious menu items and special courses from our Chefs. Please note that we are unable to accommodate vegan/vegetarian tasting menus, dairy allergies, seafood/shellfish allergies, or aversions to raw meat/seafood. Please reach out to info@alorestaurant.com at your earliest convenience before booking if your party has any dietary restrictions.     Alo's private dining room, equipped with its own bar and kitchen, offers a six-course tasting-menu for up to 14 guests. This unique dining experience begins with a cocktail reception featuring a glass of sparkling wine and a trio of canapés. The pricing for this experience is $295 per guest exclusive of beverages, HST & 20% service charge. Wine pairings are available for an additional $125 per guest. Our private dining room is also available to be booked for lunches.     All did not disappoint. From start to finish this is a dining EXPERIENCE. Plan to appreciate it as such. It's not in the regular dining budget for me but for a special event that is planned, I would do it again. Take your time, this is not to be rushed.

    It was perfect - they could do a bit of work on the entrance when you first walk in...it looks a bit dingy, industrial with an old looking elevator going up but as the doors open you are pleasantly surprised. They didn't have room at the bar and seated us against the window - which was OK too. Once we got to the main dining table, it was so nice! A very quaint comfortable and cozy environment. It was our engagement anniversary and there was a personalized note left for us at the table congratulating us, it was such a sweet gesture <3 Each food item was like a party in my mouth! With amazing fresh rich taste of all different types of flavours! We loved everything we ate. It was so beautifully presented as well, there was some items you just wanted to look at not and eat! The service was beautiful, it just flowed so smoothly, with each server explaining properly what was in each course. I think we had like 11 courses....they just kept coming! We loved every moment of it. This restaurant truly deserves a 2 Michelin rating. Looking forward to coming back :)

    We celebrated our Anniversary at Alo and had the best time! The service is impeccable and the food is the best we've had! Kudos to the team for being amazing! Everyone will make sure you have the best time! We are amazed with their attention to every detail! We definitely had the best time!

    Excellent dining experience at Alo. I went with my parents to check out their tasting menu and we all enjoyed it. Implementing Asian flavours into French dishes was very innovative and brought surprises.

    We came here to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday. We were really looking forward to it, and they did not dissapoint. The food was absolutely incredible. Each course was better than the last. Michael, who looked after us for the night, was so kind and thoughful. We were so lucky to have him take such great care of us. At the end of the meal, they brought out a special additional cake to celebrate my sisters bday. It was the perfect end to a lovely meal. I highly recommend it for special occasion dinner, you will not be dissappointed.

    Truly a must experience. Each dish was a masterpiece on its own, and combined together the dinner was an epic experience of explosive flavours. The attention to each detail of the service was extraordinary. The dinner did take nearly 4 hours, perhaps longer than usual (as I think they were running a tad behind on the night we were there). But given how exemplary the food and service was, we were happy to go with the flow and enjoy the night. Colin
