   It was everything we expected and more. Great food and attentive service and the wine pairing with Sean was amazing

   The food was really good. Only real downside was the wine pours for the wine pairings are really small.

   Always an enjoyable experience dining with Alo. Our server/servers were knowledgeable and very helpful. Ambience is perfect for cocktails after work or date night with your significant other.

   I expected a bit more for such pricey restaurants. There was no complementary food whereas other Michelin star restaurants do provide it. Also, the ambience was mid. Though, the white asparagus dish was excellent.

   My husband and I just wanted to find a place to try out this Michelin restaurant while traveling from Montreal to Toronto, but every dish ended up amazing me.

   Overall a top notch food experience. Be selective about the upgrades on the set menu, some are more worth it than others. The space was small, loud and not very well lit. The noise level made it difficult to hear our server. The start of the set menu was a bit rushed ie. First course came at the same time as our cocktails, but after that paced out well. Overall good experience, it's just the atmosphere that was lacking.

   We finally tried Alo after hearing much great things. We sat at “The Bar at Alo” for a St-Valentines fixed menu. The Service was outstanding from all staff and the food / cocktails were indeed deserving of their Michelin Star. Ambiance and decor in the bar area was a bit dark for our taste. I found the prices to be a bit steep, but not outside the norm at this level. The wine pairing was interesting and will get two of their featured bottles. However, I wonder why they chose to feature a US bottle in their pairing at this particular time. Overall great experience, will likely try their main dining area in the near future.

    Food was good. One of the courses was steak and the knife they had brought couldn’t cut the meat. Wasn’t easy to eat.
