NOW OPEN! Altamirano Restaurant & Bar is a new Peruvian restaurant, conveniently located in the NOPA neighborhood of San Francisco. Open the door to a spacious bar that flows seamlessly into the luxe dining room, with the exhibition kitchen in full view. Meander outside to the dynamic outdoor dining courtyard, featuring a fire pit, ample seating, a bar, and a TV to watch your favorite sports teams. Led by a team of culinary and hospitality professionals, service is comfortable yet elevated.
Overseen by Chef Carlos Altamirano and led by Chef Eric Chumacero, the menu is a modern take on the flavors of Peru. Bold tastes and unique preparations will delight your senses and pop on your palette. Drinks highlight traditional Peruvian ingredients but with a contemporary twist.

Lovely dinner. The food was great and the service was friendly and very attentive. Very accommodating for one of our guests who is gluten-free. We will definitely be back!

10/10 recommend this spot if you love Peruvian food! Found this restaurant on SF restaurant week, even though we didn’t go off that menu because we wanted to try the other items on their menu. Loved everything we ordered: ahi tuna ceviche, chipotle shrimp toast, lomo Saltado, and the churro sandwich and tiramisu were AMAZING. We were blown away, excited to come back

Arrived early and ordered a Pisco cocktail at the bar and when my table was ready a server followed me with my drink on a tray to the table. They also started the meal with some complementary purple potato chips and a spicy dip that was very good. The cocktails were very tasty and well balanced. We did the restaurant week menu Sashimi, Lomo Salado & churro ice cream and looking forward to going back for their brunch!

This was my second time here. The food both quantity and quality are above and beyond....every flavor was on point!! The cocktails were well crafted and the service wsa great! I am excited that I have a new place to enjoy a great meal!

This is one of the best meals I’ve had in 2024. So glad this opened in the neighborhood, And and I will be sure to tell everyone I know to eat here. Food quality, presentation, service, and ++ all around. A total gem of a restaurant.

Dined here for brunch, beautiful space, but it lacked energy, and made the restaurant feel more empty than it was. I wasn't a big fan of the music selection, I really just don't think it matched the essence or design of the restaurant. I had the huevos rancheros, it was delicious, I'm excited to come back and try the dinner menu. Service could use some work, but luckily the food and cocktails made up for it and the staff is earnest and eager to please.

Service dwindled as the restaurant got busier. Had to ask for serving spoons with most dishes. Asked for water to be replenished. Tomahawk $180 was tender but lacked seasoning. Ceviches were great. Crab was tasty. Kids menu-Mac and cheese was too spicy; okay for adults but not for kids. Fried whole fish with fried rice was great. Total 12 dishes. Half were memorable.
