Welcome to Amal, where the Lebanese spirit of joie de vivre comes to life. It’s a voyage through time and place that embraces the pursuit of pleasure. Amal aims to feed and provoke your soul, but above all, nourish it with hope.

Please note that Amal is closed for Lunch service every Monday, we are open for Dinner. Our kitchen closes from 3pm -5pm (daily) between Lunch and Dinner service.

    Excellent food. Honestly could live comfortably off of all their starters, dips, and hot mezzes. Our server Greg was a great mix of funny, accommodating and attentive. Great meal.

    Our favourite restaurant in Yorkville, if not the whole city. Great food and drinks, vibe is on point and great place overall.

    Excellent meal!!! First time at Amal. The service was top notch. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. We had the dip sampler, crispy Eggplant, skewers platter for 2 and the grilled Octopus. Highly recommend Amal. We will for sure go back.

    I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I made a reservation online through OpenTable, and nowhere in the process was I informed about the $125 per person minimum. There was no mention of it in the confirmation emails, reminders, or the reservation policy on OpenTable, and I never received any email or voicemail regarding the minimum however I don’t doubt that they called me just no voicemail. When the bill came, I expressed my surprise about the charge, but I never refused to pay it. Our server, who was fantastic and provided excellent service, even offered to waive the fee as we were only $100 short. However, the manager’s reaction was completely uncalled for. He came over immediately, aggressively accused us of not reading the OpenTable message (which I had not seen), and was incredibly condescending. His approach was not only unprofessional but unnecessary—especially since we were willing to pay if no exception was made. As an executive assistant, I make numerous reservations for both myself and executives, and I have never encountered such poor behavior. The manager’s attitude completely soured what would have been a pleasant experience. Disappointing, to say the least.

    Skewers were amazing, and cocktail was 8/10. The Dips and salad ok, i mean fresh and tasty but you can find it everywhere. The Desserts rice pudding was a suprise, but strawberry ice cream is normal. Overall a wonderful experience due to service, setting, easy access.

    It was one of the best dinner nights for us. The food was amazing and much better than we expected of a WINTERLISHES. The best part was our server Nabil who went out of the way to make our dinner a special one for us. His charming character, the knowledge of the food and the patience to listen made our dinner an extraordinary one. We will definitely go again soon with family/friends.
