    Public metered parking via parking station is available along 8th Street, SE from E Street to our north to I street to our south. 2 hour residential parking located nearby in the surrounding neighborhood at E Street, G Street, 7th Street, and 9th StreetOrange, Blue and Silver Lines exiting at the Eastern Market metro station are next to Ambar.

    We are metro accessible via the Orange, Blue and Silver Lines exiting at the Eastern Market metro station. Walk east to 8th Street and then proceed south 1 and a half blocks to our location at 523 8th Street (west side of the block).

    We had a lovely time enjoying such a wonderful variety of expertly prepared dishes. This is more than a delicious meal, it is a very special experience!

    It was our first time back in a year or so, but we've been numerous times. The changes to the menu were enjoyable. The drinks were weaker than they used to be. Our server wasn't as attentive as we've had in the past. It was the first time we've been on the main floor. We were near the kitchen and that room is quite loud, even though it's small.

    It wasn't just dinner; it was a big fun experience! The waiters kept bringing trays of plates we requested, and we kept sharing all the food around the table. Every bite was delicious, and the waiters were amazing. It was definitely worth the amount we paid. The drinks were wonderful, too!

    Thank fully, they were so flexible with our reservations time. I initially reserved a 6:30pm slot for the main dining room but due to circumstances, I couldn’t make it until 8pm. When I called to inform them, the staff was friendly and flexible. We ended up dining in the enclosed patio which wasn’t as nice as the main dining area but the food was good and service was great so overall experience was great!

    We enjoyed our experience at Ambar as we sampled many various dishes. We liked the majority of what we selected and the ones we weren’t impressed with, we would not order again ( hallumi was dry and tasteless, stuffed cabbage was too bland)

    My friend and I had a wonderful experience! Our Server, Sean, was kind, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was excellent and I will be back! 10 out of 10!
