   We had a lovely time celebrating my mothers 80thbirthday ,she enjoyed the whole experience .The food and service was very good ,I highly recommend it .

   Shrinkflation has hit the Afternoon Tea at Amberly Castle. The hot food used to be a half toastie, sausage in puff pastry and a good sized quiche. This has unfortunately changed to 1/4 finger toastie, 1cm of cut sausage roll, quiche 1/4 of the size. The sandwiches were also massively reduced in quantity. It all tasted excellent. The cakes were the same. We were underwhelmed for the £65pp cost. Our twice yearly pilgrimage to Amberly is over.

   Had the afternoon tea at Amberly Castle. Delightful location, tucked away with beautiful surroundings. The tea choice was lovely, I had a fruity little number. Afternoon tea - the savoury selection was excellent, really enjoyed the toastie and the coronation chicken was excellent. I don't really have a sweet tooth but the sweet selection was very good. Amberly Castle also went above and beyond to cater for my girlfriend, who has a nut allergy. Lovely staff. Coffee was a little bitter but perfectly acceptable.

   Thoroughly enjoyable location for a special meal. The food was amazing and very tasty. Service was very good with friendly helpful staff. Great atmosphere and lovely fireplace made it extra special

   Valentine’s Day. On arrival very welcoming. Lovely place. Surprised by cob of bread as very large and filling. The 6 courses were potentially brilliant however, were pre-prepared and 3 were good but 3 weren’t. Waitress wasn’t happy when we mentioned some issues even though our comments were meant to be helpful. Special occasion so was bit upset which had potential to be great.

   We visited Amberley Castle for Afternoon Tea, as a gift for my mums 80th Birthday & the location, ambience, staff attention, care & attention to detail was as per our previous visit outstanding, but unfortunately the overall experience was seriously lacking. As mentioned above on our previous visit & a gift for my 50th Birthday Afternoon Tea as above, the location, ambience, staff attention, care & attention to detail was outstanding. As was the value for money & the whole experience, which was greatly improved & a truly wonderful experience which is why we returned for another lovely celebration. On the occasion of this visit though, it has to be said that the Afternoon Tea really was not good value for money, apart from being asked about allergies we were never asked or had our sandwiches replenished & although we had our tea pots refilled & our server (Diana) was absolutely wonderful, it was not the same experience we had, had with yourselves. To compound this further & again this did not occur on our previous visit, on this occasion we had to pay a £10 surcharge which was not explained what it was for? If this was a tip surely it is our choice what & if we leave one & if it was not a tip, we did not know exactly what it was for? When the booking was made it was on a link from the Amberley Castle website & we were directed to the site to make the booking & if this was mentioned, it was not made explicitly clear that this charge would be applied. Unfortunately overall, even given all the above good points & our previous visit, something has definitely changed & for this reason we could & will not be recommending you to anyone including our family or friends.

   We arrived towards the end of afternoon tea service, and although we had booked we had to wait about 10-15 minutes for acknowledgement of our arrival in the lounge. The service was excellent, with a clear explanation of all the food we received. All the food was delicious. The noise level was quiet, but only because we chose a quiet lounge (no music) and asked for the door to be closed.
