An American Blonde Ale with a German accent. Bomber Blonde is a straw colored, light bodied ale with a dry crisp finish. Hallertau hops add balance and complexity. 5.2% Alc. By Vol.
Our top selling ale, Headwaters has a clear emphasis on balance. There is plenty of hop bitterness, aroma and flavor here, but also a great malt profile that backs up and supports the wonderful citrus notes from the use of Cascade and Centential hops. Medium bodied with a lingering hop palate. 7.0% Alc. By Vol.
Our amber is an American take on a classic English ESB. Rex is malt forward, but noticably hoppy. Caramel flavors shine through, and the citrus notes from the generous use of Cascade hops keep the palate refreshed. 6.0% Alc. By Vol.

At Amicas, we believe in minimizing our negative impact on the world around us and on maximizing the difference we make. We minimize waste wherever possible and use eco-friendly "to-go" containers you'll never see styrofoam at Amicas. In addition, the grain from our beer-making process feeds local cows, our kitchen scraps feed local chickens, and we buy as much as possible from local farmers. In the summer, we buy the best of the area's organic produce.
Given for our involvement in the summer free lunch program at Boys and Girls club- making lunches for 100+ kids daily using organic and as local as possible ingredients. The program was directed by our manager, Michael McGovern with a staff of local volunteers.
LiveWell Chaffee County is honoring Michael McGovern with the HEAL (Healthy Eating and Active Living) Champion award. McGovern has been with Amicas Pizza & Microbrewery for 6 years and is currently the general manager.
Amicas sponsored the 12th annual Crest Crank for the Alliance Against Domestic Abuse. This one-day mountain biking event raised funds for AADA and is always a GREAT time for an important cause! After a 20+ mile ride, riders delight in a BBQ with delicious food and the chance to win many terrific prizes.
We were founding sponsors of the South Central Bike Racing team helping bring bike racing and lots of fresh faces to our community. And we always support fibark a celebration of the river that runs through our town.

The Land Trust of the Upper Arkansas (LTUA) understands how little bits combine to make impressive changes. We participate in their "Common Cents for Conservation" program which collects pennies to protect the places that make our valley special. LTUA advances the conservation and stewardship of agricultural lands, wildlife habitat, open space, scenic beauty and other diminishing natural and historical resources. And when you eat at Amicas, you're helping; penny by penny.
We also support Friendship Bridge an organization providing micro credit to Guatemalan women. After living in Guatemala, Amicas' owner Kathie Younghans has a special place in her heart for Guatemala and she wholeheartedly supports Friendship Bridge because it's a hand up, not a hand out. And it makes an immediate and tangible difference in the lives of the women it reaches
Amicas also sponsors Salida's 3P eventPole, Paddle and Pedal. The Salida Pole, Pedal Paddle began in 1999 and is a unique, multi-sport event. Following the path of the spring runoff, competitors start at the Continental Divide with a backcountry ski leg, mountain bikes carry competitors in the shadow of Mt. Shavano to the banks of the Arkansas River where whitewater kayaks take paddlers into downtown Salida for an exciting finish. Participants can compete as a team or individually.
