Artisan Waterfront Restaurant & Tavern offers a unique and innovative dining experience with magnificent views of Lake Michigan. Our Great Lakes-inspired, New American cuisine has an emphasis on farm-fresh fare from local and regional farms, celebrating the theme of craftsmanship and sustainability.
With booking a table in Artisan please advise your table will be reserved for 2 hours starting at the time of your reservation.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OUTSIDE TABLES ARE RESERVED UPON REQUEST BUT CANNOT BE GUARANTEED.
If you have requested a table outdoors, please be advised that in the case of inclement weather, we will do our best to accommodate your party inside at the same reservation time, however we cannot guarantee a table inside at the same exact time and may need to adjust the reservation time accordingly.

And don’t forget your swimsuits; Cozy Cabana rentals include access to our outdoor heated pool! Cozy Cabanas are a fun winter activity for friends or family! Our Cozy Cabanas are available for 2-hour reservations from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Daily Each Cabana seats up to 6 guests. Excellent bar service & cocktails. Table service was good but marred by excessively long waits for soup & salad appetizers as well as entrees. Food served warm, at best. Flavors were good and dishes prepared well, but not great when not served in a timely manner and allowed to get cold. Especially true with a medium-well, pink in the middle pork chop. Would have sent both entrees back but did not want any longer wait. Not sure if this was an issue with the kitchen or the server, but the dining experience suffered in either case. Overall, mediocre and not worth the price.

Our NYE experience at Artisan was much diminished when compared to last year. In general, the food was fine although unevenly seasoned and I found the decision to offer only a meat-based first course when there were fish and vegetarian options at every other course nonsensical. The service was erratic with each of our wine pairings appearing at different times and often from different servers. There was either a misprint of the first course pairing or the wrong wine was delivered - we were brushed off when we inquired so I’m not sure. My main complaint is the ambiance. Apparently they oversold the event because we were seated in the bar area about 3 feet from loud music and with patrons standing at the bar bumping into my husband’s chair. They did move us when asked but not into the dining room (they explained they were completely sold out). Instead we sat at a very stained banquette, still in the bar. Call me snobby but I really don’t want to pay $600 for a meal while watching TV. We have had excellent experiences at Artisan in the past but this, coupled with our poor stay at the Delamar will probably keep us away for a while.

Very nice Restaurant Great date night or special event Food was very good A little on the pricey side 5 course dinner for $165 But worth a try

Fantastic setting for our Anniversary. They placed us right in front of the fire place and it was nice and cozy. Plus the complimentary glass of champagne was an unexpected surprise

This was our second visit to Artisan in a little over a month. Both times the service (thanks Giovanni) and the food (our highest compliments to the chef) were great.

Really loved the cabana by the pool!! Definitely booking this again next winter. The hot chocolate bar was a nice touch!

This not a review for the restaurant but for the heated pool and cabana.I brought my son's family including 3 older grandkids. This is our second time here. We plan on making this an annual Christmas tradition. We had the best time! The pool water was 95° and felt so good! The cabana was nice and toasty warm with hot chocolate for my grandkids and all the fixings. We ordered some food. The chicken tenders were really good and the flatbread pizzas. It was amazing because we got to have a glass of wine while in the pool! It was such a nice evening and very relaxing and we will be back next Christmas!

We were greeted at the door and taken to our table. Giovanni took excellent care of us. The food was spectacular. Artisan is becoming our favorite restaurant. They never miss, and they always exceed expectations.

Had an amazing experience in the cozy cabana. It exceeded our expectations. We had so much fun swimming in the outdoor pool during a snow storm, while it was 10 degrees outside. The pool was so warm. The jumbo pretzel and the pizza was delicious. The drinks were so good too, especially the espresso martini. The service has all around been great. We will be coming back every year!
