   Fun spot for a birthday dinner with six friends. Menu selection and specials were varied and the Peruvian specials were interesting. Service is always consistent and good.

   Gluten-free bread was stale. It was replaced with another stale, inedible roll. Chicken paillard was prepared with bread crumb crust and not gluten free. The waiter knew about the gluten-free requirement but said nothing when he served the chicken. A salad with shrimp was adequate. The restaurant had guests at only one other table.    We have lived up the street for a few years, and somehow this was our first visit. My gluten-free needs were accommodated with knowledge and grace, by our incredible server Avery. It was a bit loud during our visit, but that's March Madness in Connecticut and it wasn't bothersome at all. The quality of the food rivals restaurants in major metro areas, such as Boston, Manhattan, and Chicago. The plating was innovative without being frivolous, and each dish has a touch of whimsy in the elegant design and combination of ingredients. The best Kale Caesar of my life, a luscious grilled octopus appetizer, a heritage porkchop with the most creative and delicious chimichurri that was so bright and flavorful it was borderline addictive, and a vegan semi freddo that perfectly capped off the meal. The wine list is a beautiful variety, with something to suit every need, the cocktail list was fun and mirrored the quality of the meal, and the non-alcoholic options were well curated. We had agreed we will be going back soon before we finished the first course, and I'm looking forward to it immensely.

   Everything is always great for brunch at Artisan EXCEPT the music. Every time I choose to dine there, the music choice is horribly inappropriate for a Sunday brunch environment. We have had to ask a server to change the music to something more relaxing (like jazz or soft contemporary)…not borderline rap or hip hop. Every time. This just takes away from the overall experience and lowers my overall ratings for Artisan. Please make it a point to choose more appropriate music for the time of day and dining experience.

   This place has been amazing! Went there on a first date, got engaged there, celebrated our wedding anniversary here, the food has always been amazing, cocktails are always just as amazing! We’ve never had a bad experience, and their entire team makes dining a wonderful experience.

   We could not offer highest enough compliments for our wonderful experience at Artisan this evening. The food was exquisite, beautifully displayed and absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding, the ambiance was delightful. We had the great pleasure of having Avery as our waitress. She could not have been more personable and professional and attentiive to every last detail. The Artisan is very fortunate to have such a great employee serving and meeting the needs of their guests. Please recognize Avery for such great service!

   We had great service and the food and cocktails were absolutely delicious (we both got fish dishes). It felt lively, and I liked that there were people from all age groups from 20s through older folks. The lighting was perfect. We have been to Artisan in the past but it was really at its best last night.

    Friends and I arrived for a catch-up dinner since we had not seen each other in quite a while. The evening was just lovely, from the wine, to the artful winter salad, to the amazing entrees. A wonderful dining room quiet enough for conversation. Our server (a lovely lady from Argentina) was amazing and very attentive without being stifling. We will definitely return.
