This was our first time at Arts & Central. We were immediately taken by the very nice design of both the outdoor and indoor spaces. This is a large restaurant, and it's pretty open, which can usually mean that it's going to be extremely loud, but we were pleasantly surprised that it was not too bad at all, noise-wise, with mellow music playing softly. The restaurant has an art theme, with different artist providing works that are on the back of the menu every month, according to our server, who was excellent. There were four of us in our group and all of us very much enjoyed our appetizers and our entrees. On the flipside, we were universally disappointed by the desserts. They were just ok at best, and there wasn't much to choose from. Items that our group ordered were the Seoul Chicken Sliders, Whipped Feta, 611 Salad and the Seared Scallop (appetizers), and then the Maple Leafe Farm Duck, Grilled Swordfish, Pork Belly & Octopus and the Linguini, which my sister ordered with Shrimp (as our mains). Two of our party ordered the Banana Brulee, which unfortunately came out relatively cold, and I had the Crumble, with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, which was fine, but nothing really interesting or exciting. I would definitely go back because the main menu items are all very, very good, and I would just plan to go when I'm not in the mood for dessert or feel like going someplace else for something sweet after dinner.
