A well known hotel and Indian restaurant around these parts, Ashiana is where those in Newark-on-Trent and, more specifically, North Muskham, go for a sophisticated yet affordable meal. Not just that, Ashiana occupies what was formerly a country pub on Bathly Lane, meaning it’s accessible even for those making the worthwhile trip from Nottingham. The menu here packs quantity as well as quantity with plenty of interesting spice combinations on offer to satisfy those palettes that like it mild as well as those that like it fiery. One chef’s signature that we wholeheartedly recommend is the bengol quail – tandoori stone quail, lightly spiced with winter herbs, curry leaves and button onions.
