Atlas Izakaya is a chef-run restaurant focused on creating delicious, thought-provoking Japanese food. Meaning “stay-drink-place” in its native tongue, Izakaya is a word to describe the perfect spot to settle down with company as you dine together. Located in the heart of historic Key West steps from Duval Street, our restaurant provides a relaxed vibe to meet your palate. To live up to our name, we created a refined atmosphere that features an impressive open kitchen to complement the same great impression made by our menu. Complete with local seafood, fresh vegetable dishes, bao buns, dumplings, and much more, our offerings are the kind you’ll be craving in the weeks following your visit. If you’re in the mood for cozy comfort and whimsical Asian cuisine, join us at Atlas Izakaya.

Kokadama Plant Class

Join us for our monthly Kokadama Plant Class. We will enjoy sake cocktails and some plant based snacks while you learn the art of Kokadama, which translates to "moss ball" on which ornamental plants grow. Each class will feature different plants as you perfect the technique. While you will watch our host assemble the first plant, you can relax and enjoy drinks and snacks. After which, we will assist you in perfecting your take home kokadama. Happening the first Saturday of each month 12pm-2pm (limited bar seating only for this class)

Fantastic! As a dedicated foodie, I am always pleased to run into foods that expand my palate and horizons. As my wife is a vegetarian, we ordered many vegetarian options, virtually all of them on the menu and they were fantastic; interesting in taste and texture and novel. The service was impeccable and ambience beautiful. Congratulations great job. Thank you!!!

Chef and staff were committed to excellence. The open concept kitchen was really enjoyable. The Grouper Yakitori, Ceviche, O-Toro, Tuna Crispy Rice, and Dumplings were all 5/5.

Outstanding food made better by Emily’s awesome service. There isn’t much sushi so be sure you like Japanese/Asian cuisine of all types before booking. Our server guided us through the menu and made our experience a treat. Location could be better but every restaurant needs to start somewhere and Duval is where it’s at in KW. Restaurant is about a year and a half old. Looking forward to a return visit next time.

Excellent meal! Definitely go with the team’s recommendation on the food. The stand outs were the chicken boa buns, ginger, and mushrooms!

If you had just one place you could go to dine out while in Key West. Definitely Atlas Izakaya. I've lived in Key West 29 years and traveled a bit too. Every time we eat at Atlas we leave feeling so fortunate and grateful for the job John & Amy do at their jewel of the island. Everything is awesome! The menu has a lot to choose from. Fresh local fish prepared with respect and skill. An extensive menu accommodating to any dietary restriction. The quality and preparation of the food. The attention you get from the staff. The beauty and comfort of the dining room. The place to eat, drink and say " Wow" when in Key West!
