Augie's French, a Stark Reality Restaurant by Mark & Terri Stark, offers elevated service in a comforting and enchanting atmosphere in the heart of downtown Santa Rosa. Recognized as a "Top French Restaurant" in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Chronicle and featured in Sonoma Magazine's "Best Restaurants" in Sonoma County, our menu embodies French Bistro classics. Enjoy Onion Soup Gratinée, Steak Frites, seasonal local vegetables with a French flair, and a classic Beef Bourguignon known to evoke tears of delight.
Our wine list is comprised of exclusively French selections, and the bar specializes in classic French aperitif cocktails. Happy Hour and a limited bar menu are offered daily from 3-5 pm, featuring items you won’t find on the dinner menu.

Find your inner Francophile on our petite, dog-friendly patio, in our lush suede booths in the main dining room, or watch from above in our intimate mezzanine. At Augie's French, you can expect the expected, prepared exceptionally well.

Our experience started at the front door with my request to have our table set for side by side dining and immediately handled by the lovely receptionist. The room is the most unique dining spot in Santa Rosa and it's fun to watch the bar work and see all of the dishes being served. It's styled as a high end bistro and certainly comes off in that realm. Our waiter Ben was well versed in the menu and adept at offering wine selections to match with our menu selections. The menu prices are reasonable for the style and quality of the food but I have to say that the wine list is priced for the destination customer who is looking for an experience. A very pleasant and comfortable experience overall

Food very good. Disappointed that server did not even offer to review specials. We only realized they were available when we saw them posted on our way out.

Outstanding food - everything we ordered was delicious and nicely presented. We were seated on the mezzanine, so rather noisy but nice to have the downstairs view. Very pleasant hostess but our server was just adequate - never actually looked at us and seemed to be “going through the motions” throughout the evening. This was a pricey birthday dinner which was not acknowledged except by the hostess. We usually really enjoy all the Stark’s restaurants and, although the food was delicious, we doubt we’ll return.

The food. The service. The food. The beverages. The food. The environment. Oh, and the food. I’ve had lower quality food with much higher prices in other places. Everything was amazing from soup to nuts. Or in my case, from butter lettuce salad to Crêpe Suzettes. The staff is kind and friendly yet completely professional. Don’t miss this.

The meal was the best I have had in years! My friend, who also had the duck confit said it was better than any she had in Paris!

This Bistro restaurant is my favorite! The menu is a bit limited for entrees, but each one is delicious! Salads are wonderful. A little overpriced for side dishes and desserts. Good selection of wines, both local and french. The ambiance is beautiful. Service was perfect.
