August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. Our menu is influenced by regional food from France, Italy and Spain

August is open for dinner from 5pm on Wednesday - Saturday, and from 12pm for Sunday Lunch. We also offer a range of private dining experiences, and can accommodate 60 seated guests, or up to 100 for reception-style events. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

For Sunday lunch bookings, we offer an $90 set menu option only, which changes week to week and with the seasons. Please advise us the time of booking if there are any guests with dietary requirements.

In some exciting news, from next week, August will be open for lunch every Saturday! As the weather starts to cool down, come in and enjoy our beautiful space in the daylight! We will be open from 11:30am, serving our a la carte menu and full wine list. Reservations are recommended, but walk ins are always welcome. Our Sunday lunch will remain as usual!

August is a great place for a Sunday lunch. With a house selection menu, all the effort is taken care of so sit back, relax and enjoy the delicious plates styled to share. Menu variety is spot-on and creative - offering new tastes and combinations. BYO or enjoy the great selection of international or domestic wines and beers. August offers a calm and classy ambiance with good music and engaging staff. Good job, August 👏 Looking forward to returning for dinner!

A fantastic sophisticated, yet casual dining experience. The food was utterly divine - tasty, creative and thoughtful food. Substantial portions, exceptionally balanced flavours and an experience like no other restaurant in Brisbane. A little hidden gem.

We had a very enjoyable Fixed Sunday Lunch - particularly enjoyed the tri tip beef main and all those interesting vegetable sides and entrees. Wine the glass complemented our meal.

Food was interesting and tasty.Wait Staff were pleasant ,efficient and very helpful. Atmosphere was welcoming and not too noisy. I would recommend August .

The food at August was excellent - innovative and interesting combinations of flavours. The wine we chose was reasonably priced and a good match for the food. Perhaps the menu might have indicated that most of the plates were share plates. That would have avoided some confusion! One negative was the noise level from music. The room has a great acoustic and hard surfaces and that can make life difficult. We eat with friends to talk and that was difficult until the music was reduced in volume.
