Overall great experience! We had a sirloin & New York strip. The food was phenomenal. Service was great. I would highly recommend Axels and will definitely be back.

New years dinner was not good for out table of 5. We all got sirloin steaks that were very chewy and not good. The overpriced scallops were not cooked well and just thrown on the plate by the potatoes. Service was very very slow on new years. We will not be going back.

Waited for an hour for our food, I don’t think the server was a server just helping out for the holiday. So I don’t want to say anything bad about him but it wasn’t busy and it took an hour to get food and no one even asked if we wanted more drink or even refills.

Be careful if you are gluten-free. My sandwich didn't look gluten-free when I got it so I asked and my server said it was. He offered to double-check for me with the chef and I'm glad I had him do that. He had to take it back.

What a gem of a restaurant. So glad we were able to join a couple friends and enjoy a most wonderful evening. The walleye is to die for.

We made plans to visit Axel's last Friday. From the time we arrived we were met with friendly and welcoming staff. The hostess who greeted us with a smile and guided us to our table (and offered coat check service, nice touch) to the personable server who's knowledge of the menu made it easy to choose from many of the enticing dinning choices. We also ordered some bar services as well and the beverages were well mixed smooth and flavorful.

Had a pretty good experience at Axel’s. Was pretty noisy. The signature pop-overs were barely warm, but our salads were fresh, the green beans were perfectly done and seasoned nicely. We both had the coconut shrimp and they were large and tasty. The “smashed potatoes “ were dry and overcooked. Service was very good, attentive. A cool draft came through the entry door by where we were seated.
