Escape the chaos of city life and enter a social haven of comfort and warmth in the heart of Paddington, Central London. With rich, dark green walls, elaborate décor and plush banquette seating, Ayllu is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant serving contemporary sharing plates, sushi and innovative cocktails.

The cosy restaurant is built around the traditions of the Ayllu community of the Inca Empire. The Ayllu was a group of families that lived together, worked the land together and shared their belongings and mealtimes, just like a large family. Much like the Incan civilisation, Ayllu is about the coming together of friends and families and taking time to share an experience of great food and innovative cocktails with loved ones.

Drawing on the inspiration of the Ayllu community, the menu consists of innovative small plates, designed for the whole table to share. Traditional Peruvian flavours are paired with Japanese influences, bringing fresh and zesty aromas to each dish.

Ayllu's Business Lunch Set Menus offer a delicious six-course dining experience, available Monday to Friday from 12 pm to 4 pm for just £29. Featuring a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese flavours, guests can enjoy a variety of dishes, including edamame, miso soup, and a choice of mains such as Lomo Saltado or Salmon Cazuela. There’s also a vegetarian menu with options like Mushroom Saltado or Udon Noodles. Each meal concludes with a choice of indulgent desserts, making it the perfect mid-day escape, from busy London, for a flavourful and satisfying lunch.

I had the pleasure of dining at Ayllu yesterday, and it was absolutely fantastic! Both the fish and the steak were cooked to perfection—perfectly tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite was a delight. The staff was attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. This is truly a place that knows how to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Wonderful. I dined at this restaurant with my friends and it was fantastic! Every dish we tried was incredibly flavorful - no complaints there. The tacos were fantastic. The service and ambiance were wonderful. The staff was attentive and even recommended the best dishes to try. Don't miss out on their bao buns! GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Me and my friends dined at this fantastic Japanese/Peruvian restaurant, and it was an experience worth every moment! The atmosphere was calm and inviting, setting the perfect scene for a memorable meal. Our server, Azamat, truly elevated the experience. The food was exceptional, with each dish beautifully presented and full of authentic flavors. Every bite of our main courses was delicious, but the standout was the ceviche, which was nothing short of amazing! Azamat recommended it, and it was the perfect blend of sweetness and freshness.

Lunch was a fantastic experience. The flavors were exceptional—each dish was perfectly balanced and bursting with taste. Omg are you kidding me this was so phenomenal! We ordered the Ayllu platter and every single item was a hit, flavour knows no bounds at this place. The staff is so attentive and welcoming each one of them stopped by made conversation brought a dish just so great I cannot thank them enough for such a fantastic experience.

We booked this place randomly and it was the best choice we could’ve made that day. The food was awesome. We took the Lima menu. Everything was perfect, good presentation, great staff giving all the details and some tips about how to eat it, everything it was delightful. Quality of the fish and meat was incredible.Very well worth it. Best Japanese/ Peruvian cuisine we’ve ever had.

Starters / appetizers were good but meal was let down by the main courses which were served cold / lukewarm ( chicken, fish and beef). Service / waitress was excellent. All in all would not recommend or return.

perfect evening at Ayllu. not too loud (i hate shouting at dinner) and the lighting and ambience was wonderful. food was really really lovely, light, with a nice long menu of options. i have paid more for much worse meals and so every pound was more than worth it for the quality of the service, food, and the lovely cocktails. located centrally without being at all touristy. perfect!
