The actual food was delightful, portions were great and so easy for sharing — I wanted to try everything on the menu! My boyfriend and I particularly loved the polenta fries, and I enjoyed the delicata squash. And the two servers, Bella and Bella, were lovely and attentive without hovering. The issue we had is that I booked an inside table for 3 at 7:15pm, and when we arrived at the hostess stand we were told that they had overbooked the indoor dining room and couldn’t offer us the table we had reserved. Our options were either to take an inside table until 8:15 (which would have left us with just an hour to order and eat) or to take a table on the patio. Given how busy it was we knew we wouldn’t be able to get in and out in an hour, so hesitantly took the patio table. When we were led outside we were directed to a table for 2 even though we had made a reservation for 3 (in her defense, our third friend was running late and wasn’t with us when we checked in). The hostess was able to seat us at a larger table, but unfortunately it was a table in the corner near the parking lot, away from the primary patio heaters, and in an uncovered section so it was chilly for our entire meal. I would have liked to have left a better review given how much we enjoyed the food, but the seating process left a sour taste for the entirety of our meal. I don’t understand why our reservation was the one that suffered and had to be pushed rather than the later reservations, just felt like we were treated as an inconvenience. Was there a step in the confirmation process that I missed that left us in that situation?
