We are extremely proud & excited to announce the opening of our second location and future sister restaurant, Baia Coastal Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar! ‘Baia,’ meaning bay in Italian, will be located right on the water in Chesapeake Beach with beautiful unobstructed views of the bay. This new concept will be focusing on fresh seafood, house made pasta, and an extensive Italian wine program featuring a sophisticated, elegant atmosphere.

One of our favorite places in North Beach disappointed this evening. Seated at a nice table to enjoy our anniversary. Server took a while to arrive but the restaurant was busy. ordered a dirty martini with olives that came back so dirty I couldn’t drink it. asked server for another shot of vodka to water it down. She looked at me confused until I said I would pay for it. She only visited the table 2 more times during the meal leaving us sitting there hoping for the check. My pasta dinner had shrimp that were so salty that they ruined a dish that had a lot of flavor. Sat waiting for the server to see if we wanted dessert. Took so long we were happy to ask for the check. Won’t come back soon!

Best dinner ever! My husband and I were in town for my work. Everyone was SO nice! Drinks were delicious! And the food was out of this world! Definitely get the suppli (risotto balls) and focaccia. I’d come back to North Beach first this restaurant!

We had a very nice dinner at Baia. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. There were several wines we were interested in and he brought us a couple tastings to choose from. I prefer to sit in the bar area (has a bit more ambience) but they had a function going on and it was very crowded. I have a gluten intolerance and there were several dishes for me to choose from including gluten free pasta. Very nice experience and look forward to going back again.

Almost all of our food was fantastic, except my steak which was very undercooked. I ate part of it and will have the rest as leftovers. I mentioned it to the server, who immediately apologized and gave me a dessert on the house! We started with appetizers and drinks and all were fantastic. We will definitely come back and try more items on the menu. We had three different appetizers, steak, pizza, pasta & a kids meal, so we did cover a lot of the items. I will try the duck if it is on the menu next time we visit.

I’ve been to Baia many many times. I have always loved the atmosphere in the bar and outdoor sections. I made a reservation for outdoors, despite it being a little chilly. They originally had the main patio closed and sat my large group of 11 indoors, but upon our request, they moved us outside. They were very accommodating. The arrabiatta pasta with shrimp and cauliflower was SUCH a great recommendation! We all loved it. The service was perfect. I think Alex was the name of the man who helped us decide on wine and cocktails. He was super knowledgeable and friendly! He went way out of his way with our group. After we ate, we moved indoors to the bar. As ALWAYS, Bobby was the greatest! Baia is so fortunate to have him. He’s so friendly and down to earth, and always a great time! Thank you for a beautiful night for a bunch of girlfriends to get together, Baia!

The food was good and so was the service. The menu is a bit esoteric. Would have enjoyed a bit more basic/familiar Italian dishes. The atmosphere was great and the server was very attentive.
