The new Bakarò restaurant in Venice offers a menu dedicated to traditional specialities
local, a taste trip through typical dishes, from finger food to desserts,
recipes of the past, but proposed with a new presentation, fresh and appealing.
Located in Campo Santa Margherita (in the Dorsoduro district) Bakarò wants to be a safe port
for those who want a lunch or a dinner full of good traditional cuisine. Do not give up
but to the novelty, proposing to those looking for something different craft burgers of high quality
entirely homemade, from bread, to ground, to delicious sauces.The Bakarò also awaits you for a drink with friends, before or after dinner, with unmissable cocktails
that alternate in a menu that changes following the seasonality. Just a glance to
understand that the Bakarò makes of the tradition its battle horse: the local preserves in fact the
authentic furnishings of the former bakery Carlon, including the beautiful oven.

Good food isn’t an excuse for lousy service. Food was very good but the service was extremely lacking. We had reservations months in advance and the three of us were seated at a table for two, my wife, our toddler son, and myself. Not once did a third glass get brought out for him, nor a third place setting, third napkin, nothing. Again, location was nice and the food was very tasty, but I’ve had better service from a McDonald’s drive through.

My entree was served 15 minutes before my partners. I truly believe they forgot his entree ( a burger) but when questioned about where it was, the waiter said it was still being prepared. Other than that the food was fresh and hot, as well as plentiful.

Burrata starter did not taste like traditional burrata cheese. We had burgers for main course - AVOID. Massive black hair inside one of the burgers so had to be sent back, the other burger was mushy and had been covered in a bright pink jam that we were told was caramelised onion. The fries on the side had a horrible after taste. The wine was fine. When we complained they replaced the burger but it was still not edible. They finally removed the burger with the hair in from the bill but really I’d have expected to not be charged for any food. Wouldn’t go backX

Wonderful carbonara but I got up to use the restroom and waiters cleared my drink and turned the table over!

Excellent food, ambience and service at this restaurant located on a lively piazza. The panzanella with octopus was incredible along with my Hugo spritz. When you can’t have pasta for one more meal the burger here was delicious. All the food was delicious and our service was top notch. We’ve had many excellent meals in Italy and this one again didn’t disappoint.

We had a wonderful outdoor dinner experience at Bakaro. Our parties 5 entrees were all perfectly cooked and our service was very good.
