Mid tier restaurant masquerading as fine dining
I have been twice in the 3 months, both times an utter letdown.
Not only were we LIED to about full table service, but due to the fact that we aren't chronic alcoholics and weren't drinking we were treated like common street scum.
At 12:15 my two male colleagues were seated while I & another female colleague arrived at 12:20. We paintently waited, between jovial discussions, for anyone to take our order. Noting that when we entered there were 4 seated tables, in the time we were waiting for anyone to even look at us, I witnessed 3 other tables that arrived after not only having their order taken, but some ordered received and had their plates taken away while we remained unattended. DISGRACE. After 30 minutes & MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS to make eye contact with a number of staff, we ended up at the bar ordering ourselves. Side note the girl at the bar was very friendly.
After ordering then continuing our conversation I noted that all of the "waiters" appeared to be completely avoiding eye contact with anyone at our table as if we were lepers. Perhaps it was the precence of two gay men however in the modern day I would have hoped such a place to not be homophobic in their service.
After another 35min to finally have our mediocre food delivered, I raised the issue to a waitress, who told me "well we are busy so it's alright". Not even an apology, it was most likely only the foul look on my face that a man came over to offer us a drink "as an apology". After spending over an hour stuck there, I couldn't stand it any longer, none of us obliged.
I would hope this was a once off mistake, however the same waiter that was supposed to serve our table this time, was the same waiter I had last time where he was unable to correctly take an order & I was served what was supposed to be a top wagyu steak which turned out to be a less than average overcooked mess.
In summary, a group of blind raccoons could run a better restaurant!
