Welcome to Banff Social! Where flavors spark conversations, while bold and unique dishes come together with genuine hospitality.
Our well traveled Chef's creations are inspired by local ingredients, seasonality and Canadian and global flavors.
Our menu ranges from classic comforts to elegant and creative delicacies.

    Server was great. Salmon entree was great. Cheese cake great. Wine choice great. Made reservation but did not seem to be too busy (Friday evening @ 6 pm)

    Off the busy Main Street we reserved a nice table at this restaurant. Quickly greeted by a friendly server and seated upstairs. There was nice wine choices and for Banff better than expected wine prices. Food was very tasty. We enjoyed the Baked Goat cheese & Brussels Sprouts,Bison goulash with perrogies which were a nice touch and a Double Patty beef burger with tasty toppings. The menu was different than the usual Banff restaurants. If you are in Banff or Canmore, stop by and enjoy yourself!

    I had the pleasure of dining at Banff Social and was thoroughly impressed! The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was beautifully presented .The menu offers a wonderful variety. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was friendly, attentive, and added to the overall great experience. If you’re in Banff and looking for a place that serves exceptional food with a relaxed vibe, Banff Social is a must-visit. Highly recommend

    Great experience. It’s one of the few independent restaurants in Banff. Happy hour menu is fantastic value and runs until 6 PM in January. Had Korean wings, bison goulash and tomato soup. Would certainly recommend.

    Service was ferry friendly and attentive. Space felt a bit empty downstairs, but helped with staff flow. They need more low set tables, mostly pub height which is uncomfortable for short people. The menu online seemed to have many vegetarian options which is why I booked it for NYE for my husband. They had a new winter menu that was not updated online with fewer V options. We liked the poached pear salad, but our entrees were not very good and came out when we still had half the salad left to eat. The chickpea panisse is too dry and needs some sort of sauce to accompany it. The tenderloin steak was very fibrous. It either wasn’t a tenderloin or it was a very poor grade of meat. I rarely complain, but opted to say something to the server and they discounted my meal, which I appreciated. The wines by the glass that we had were very good and we tend to be picky about wine, so that was an upside to the night. Seems like they are proud of their cocktails but we didn’t have any. We were done in less than an hour.

    Avoid - horrible food and drinks. Many better places to go in Banff.

    There was a wedding going on upstairs which we didn’t know about, so our food came out very late and we were only told about this about half an hour after waiting for our food that they hadn’t been able to start ours yet. I feel like we should have been told about the wedding and therefore slower kitchen service right away, as soon as we sat down because we would have just found somewhere else to go. There were items that they had ran out of which we were told about right away. I had a couple French 75’s and they weren’t made very well. The server was very nice but just could have been better service.
