Banquet Chinese is a restaurant and venue unlike any other found in Colchester or North Essex today. This is Chinese food the way it is meant to be experienced! Our mouth-watering dishes are cooked to perfection by award-winning chefs using only the freshest and finest ingredients.

The interior has been carefully chosen and imported from China to create a genuine and sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy your lunch or evening meal, perhaps together with a bottle of wine from the well rounded wine list supplied by Liberty Wines.

We have two private dining rooms available for your own exclusive parties, weddings and corporate conferences. The two rooms have their own entrance and can hold 30 and 50 people respectively, but for larger gatherings, the two rooms can be combined. Menus can be tailored to individual requirements ranging from Dim Sum to the finest Chinese banquet. Our private dining rooms have access to our beautiful Chinese style garden with lovely water features. The perfect place for your guests to wander and enjoy an al fresco aperitif or after dinner digestif! Banquet 1408 and your private party - a unique and sophisticated combination

Food great, drinks a tad expensive, it would be good if the noise level could be “dampened”. Lovely venue and facilities are high standard.

Never had a bad experience, the staff are amazing, food is fantastic, we even had our wedding reception here last year and our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
