Nightly entertainment includes live music, seven evenings a week, and Chef Andres Bracamontes’ open kitchen. Chef Andres’ carefully crafted menu, much-loved by Esquina’s many regulars, is influenced by the Mediterranean, California, and his home state of Guadalajara — and emphasizes good food, shared with good friends. We have dined at this restaurant many times over the years, but this was by far our worst experience! It started with the "manager/host" Fabricio trying to seat us at the bar top tables, where we didn't want to be seated, after he told us the other tables had reservations. We had reservations as well! He said we'd have to wait an hour if we wanted to sit outside, so we said ok to sitting in the bar. Then, the hostess, realizing we weren't happy with this table, showed us to a table outside, where we wanted to be in the first place. She was then balled out by Fabricio right in front of other patrons, probably for seating us there. So rude and inappropriate! The food was forgettable, ingredients missing from the cocktails, and tasteless salad. And like another reviewer mentioned, the music was unbelievably too loud! There are a lot of great restaurants in Cabo, we will not be back to Esquina.

We have been to this restaurant numerous times over the past few years snd always make a point to return . NO Longer! The music was so loud and off key we couldn’t sit in the restaurant . The manager happily showed us to a table in the bar area next to the kitchen. I mentioned that we had enjoyed the live music on earlier visits and he agreed the music was bad and said a customer was onstage singing! He said there were no seats where the music wouldn’t be loud at which time we should have left but we didn’t . The food was ok. We had lobster sliders and salad. The salad had a taste and smell of truffles which was not on the menu description and made the salad inedible for me. There was truffle taste snd smell in the butter for the bread ditto the bread. The catch of the day was good. The bar got louder and louder and the shouting in the kitchen was intrusive. I’m sorry we didn’t leave when we were steered into the bar when I had reserved a table in the restaurant. Sadly we will not return.

Paid for the nye dinner . It was about $100 usd per person to get 1 drink that tasted alcohol free and an awful glass of champagne . Nothing else was included. The tuna app and burrata salad were the highlights. Ordered the 42 oz steak . It was heavily under seasoned, had a burnt char and wasn’t even cooked to temp. It seems like they have good cooks, but their chef is lacking those “final touches” that a true CDC or executive chef lives by.

We were told that the pizza ovens were not working and could not order yet the owner walked up to table next to ours as he knew the guests and told that table they could order the pizza and told the waiter the order…owner then told us it is because he has limited pizza dough guess you have to know the owner to get a pizza off the menu….not ok to pick and choose who can order a pizza

Sit at the bar, always get the house bread! Cabo Caliente is a lovely cocktail and the espresso martini is top notch. Short rib pizza is my fave but the chicken is the most covertly delicious item on the menu.

This place is much nicer than the photos show. Lovely atmosphere with outstanding service and food. Enjoyed the live music (the trio was amazing). It's my favorite place so far in Cabo. Just go!
